I loosened the two bolts for the exhaust hanger and then raised the trans a bit. I removed the 4 bolts from the bracket and then the two bolts that hold the transmission mounts. Remove the bracket and now you have more access to the top nuts of the mounts. Lower the transmission now to get more space. I have no idea how people got to the top two nuts with the bracket in place. I tried using a wrench but it's so tight in there. I was able to use a ratchet with a short 13 mm after lowering the transmission. To install the new ones I just did it backwards. Much easier to install the mounts on the transmission and then the brace.

As for the jacking points, I always prefer to use the frame. It's easier to jack up by the pads and put the stands on something more solid than some rubber mounts especially with a lowered car.
Cool, good info. Maybe I'll do this down the road, seems simple enough.

I didn't either, I had to look it up. I'm still not quite sure, but I am about 95% confident it is somewhere in this area, pictured below:

I washed my ///M this afternoon and am getting ready to apply some wax... also replacing my Euro side markers with a smoked set because the driver's side euro side marker broke the other day. :/

Size: 346.6 KBShowed both cars a little love today - washed them both, and cleaned the wheels. The 911 wheels are the exact opposite of the BMW - they are open and airy, and very easy to clean properly. You can even clean the barrel without removing the wheel... try that with the 135M!!

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.
