I did contact them, and told them I was part of the group buy. I requested clear film. Their response:

That's odd... oh well. I mean if you really wanted it, you could cut it yourself. Personally if I wanted the clear film that badly, I'd get the pre-cut yellow ones and a sheet of the clear and use the yellow ones to cut a template for the clear ones. I wouldn't trust myself to measure properly and cut from the clear without a template. LOL

I will say it again, use a spray paint can cap. It fits perfectly over the lens.

Roger that. I have a few different brands of spray paint & car chemicals - don't know if there is a standard cap dimension. The lights & car aren't currently at home, but once the clear film is delivered I'll go that route to find the best match.

Finally installed these; I still need to adjust them.

Installation was a disaster. Due to the polar connector, I had one of them being in the wrong way. When I tried to switch it out, the connector wouldn't back out. It was stuck, so I had to jam it out. It got bent in parts, but I straightened it out for the most part. At least it works.

So my LED bulbs I bought through the “affiliate” have crapped out and I missed the boat for the group buy discount. Is there a separate discount floating around? Also- I think we can remove Beyond Driven Automotive as the affiliate. Doesn’t look like they are in business any more. So much for my lifetime guaranty!

That sucks. I have my BDA LED’s still if you want a good deal on a replacement set.

Interesting. I Scoped out the TRS website and it looks like they are $130 direct. Am I missing something? Also, is the resistor kit required?

Edit* Looks like they have reduced the price since inception. And I suppose by "recommended" they actually mean- unless you have a different brand or supplier, just do the easy thing and buy this part now so you have everything you need to plug and play.

Suppose I should stop being a cheapskate and pick them up hahah.
