if you mount the Z4 steering wheel, from the looks of it you lose cruise control so it comes down to which steering wheel you want to have and use in your ZHP . . .

For cruise control you need to set it with the stalk as this was moved to the stalk for the E85 cars. You can transfer the E85 stalk controls to E46's too. In the 12 yrs I've owned the car, I've never touched cruise control, so I won't miss it although I know some people who wouldn't be able to live without it.

That is an interesting DIY. I didn't think you could retrofit the Cruise Control stalk to the car. Very nice!

Started working on the tanin interior set I got a few months back, will take time to get everything sorted and professionally done.
Also installed the bnew slicktop headliner now just waiting for ECS to deliver the A,B,C pillars and some misc parts.

Nice, I can't wait to see pics.

I installed some of my interior parts today (E85 M front seats / E85 M Steering wheel), leather interior next (door cards, rear seats, shifter/e brake boot):

Looks amazing, seems like the best option for those who want lighter seats without messing with the OEM look (like Recaros do). I've started to look for Z4 seats as well now.

Yeah, they do look very nice but dang I do miss my fabric/alcantara seats after driving in them for 3 hrs today. They have much less cushion/foam (of course). The bolsters hold you in, but I am a lot more uncomfortable in such sporty seats in casual driving. Yes, I'm getting old. I really have to get used to them and give them more time.
