i've been watching this one and it was very well done. so well done that even i would buy it - i was considering it, replacing my E91 M Sport with it, but damn i'm not that flush. it's at $22K now. frig

Pretty amazing what this one sold for. I think it's a record for a ZHP swapped touring?
It makes me feel slightly better about all the money I've sunk into my own cars to get them to a similar spec.
what this result tells me is that there is a market for these builds. i've been considering building them on commission. i really appreciated that builder's attention to detail and that's exactly the kind of stuff i sweat too.
in the current era of modern cars, the E46 only stands out more as a great and reliable car - with the Touring just being the ultimate form of family/truck/sportscar that you can imagine. i brought an oven home in the back of mine, an engine and transmission, and i think an entire ikea bedroom set. plus it looks rad.
and if you/me/brian on C&B can build a great spec E46 Touring that's refreshed, sorted and upgraded in the right areas... it's a compelling antidote to modern snoozefest motoring.
the only new car on sale that i could both afford and also want to drive everyday would be a BRZ. i owned a 2018 RS model (the one with the brembos; it's called something different in 'murica) and it was incredible. i will own the new model most likely in the next 2-3 years. they really nail the essence of driving.
