Of the 2 bid sites, i am leaning towards C&B.
I think of BaT as the sellers marketplace, and C&B as the buyer's marketplace. Prices can be lower on C&B in my opinion.

So I bought my M3 on C&B, but sold my ZHP on BaT. Just my perspective

Anyone know if an M54 valve cover gasket can be used with an M56 valve cover? Just found a good deal on the VC off eBay, but I just did the VCG recently. If it is I may swap it, if it isn't I guess the VC will just sit around for a while until I decide my CCV needs to be replaced

It does not seem to be interchangeable

Yeah, looking at some pics online it seems the "channel" for the M54 VCG is non-existent with the M56 VC. Looks like this part will sit in the stash for a while

I'm about to change front brakes and I see various options on FCP Euro.

Wondering if anyone has experience with the various front pads:

    Textar: $69.99
    ATE (607155) : $55.99
    ATE (34113404362): $52.99
    Jurid (571994J): $37.89

Tempted to go with Jurid (they're OE fronts for the e46m3).

I went Ceramic and never looked back. The Akebonos are fantastic in that regard. Excellent braking performance and almost no dust.

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

I think I went with Jurid (if I’m remembering correctly).
They stop really well, but they create a lot of brake dust.

Wondering about low dust pads too. Has nobody tried Textar?

I had the Akebono ceramics on my m3 for a few thousand miles, ended up replacing them with Jurid fronts and Textar rears (OE combo). Loved the fact they don't dust, but the trade off in lack of bite and feel was unacceptable for me. I tried them because many on the old m3forums touted them. I guess I have different perspective and preferences.

Awesome, thanks for your feedback. I don't mind the brake dust.

Does anyone have experience with these Chinese made center armrest lids? Link

I know the leather quality will probably be crap, but the plastic hinge / "ears" on mine has broken.
