Hey, how are you ZHP mafia ? My name is Martin, i m 29 and I live in Los Angeles.
I am originally from Bulgaria, but i used to live in Ocean City, Maryland for a long time and i just moved in Los Angeles a few months ago. This is my 2nd BMW, the 1st one was 320d 2000 stick shift :)
A week and a half ago i just bought my 2005 330i ZHP auto titanium grey...when i saw the car i fell in love right the way and when i drove it i told myself she will be the one...i was speechlessly impressed. There is only one problem with it - 165k miles, but its really well maintained and taking care of so i hope i wont have any problems with it.I am the 2nd owner.

The previous owner was really a big enthusiast so he did a few upgrates already, like differencial and exhaust system( still not checked for sure) .The only thing is that i ve never got the chance of asking him did he upgrade the software with a performance one...I think he did something cuz i ve checked it on a fly start yesterday with my friend`s M3 and we were so surprised that till 100 miles/h he was in front of me only with car and a half...which is nothing. The other thing that i ve noticed that i don't have a limiter...i was on the steptronic and changing the gears up to 7k...i believe that he did some changes but i don't know how to check it.
So pretty much that is from me...i d love to meet some ZHP fans here in LA.

Sounds like the car might have been euro charged. A tune.

Does shark raise the redline, too? :dunno

Welcome!

Welcome. There are only a couple of us mafia around LA, more in San Diego. We don't get together regularly but next time we do I'll let you know. Also, check out the California section on e46fanatics.com. There is an M3 club with some good guys who get together regularly. There's also a 310 South Bay Bimmers group that gets together on Thursdays in Torrance but I've not met them. Finally, there's Cars & Coffee in Irvine that's pretty big.

I guess they could, but it seems pretty clear you do. I have s/w too, but funny as I wouldn't know how you could tell other than those telltale signs, rev limit raised, top speed raised, slightly better performance.

Shark is not available for auto, it would either be Eurocharged, AA, or Dinan if any transmission software tune was applied

@ OP you have an LSD as well?

would have to see diff cover to tell if it's M3 LSD or just auto w/finned 3.64

You sure?

"Will the Shark Injector work on a car with an automatic transmission?
Yes, in most cases. There are several cars where the automatic transmission computer can interfere with the
programming of the engine computer. If the Shark loses contact with the engine computer, you could be left
with a blank computer. We are working on solutions for the automatic cars we don’t have applications for.
The Shark Injector files do not alter the transmission’s programming. In other words, the shift points and
maximum allowed rev limit remain the same as before. All of the benefits of the Shark Injector are there –
including the horsepower gains."

I don't see why it wouldn't work either..

I think originally it didn't work with auto but then later they added that functionality. That's why I didn't get it originally, as it wasn't when I looked.

Those guys in the dealership in Beverly Hills are crazy, they are asking 150 bux just to plug it and chech what is the software..hah
I got a OBD 2 bluetooth connected with my android Torque App.
There should be somekind of a program that you can squeeze that info from :)
