Introducing my 3rd ZHP..

I tossed the idea around of selling my last ZHP, but backed off of the idea as the car was perfectly maintained. The Craigslist ad was about to expire when suddenly I received an offer I could not refuse. Next thing I know, I'm searching for a new car. After considering an E90 330, E46 M3, and even a 4runner, I found a perfect gem located in Orlando, FL.

A family beach vacation to Seaside (FL panhandle) was already planned so after driving 10 hours/500+ miles Saturday, my dad and I were off to Gainesville, FL (yuck) the next morning to pick up my ZHP. Interestingly enough, the car was originally purchased at BMW of Gainesville.

The car is in perfect shape. No signs of dings or scratches and the interior is mint to boot. All documents came with the car since new (including a mint window sticker), and I am the 3rd owner -- 2 previous owners both lived in Florida. The car is up to date with maintenance.

Modifications and additions include:
BMW Performance Intake
BMW Performance Strut Bar
BMW Performance Grills
BMW Performance Pedals
BMW Performance Rotors
TMS Braided Brake Lines
///M Dead Pedal
OEM Clears
Homelink
DICE system
New OEM E46 M3 Leather Steering Wheel
...and finally got to install my custom 'MTECH II' euro plate with the ///M holder!

Waiting to be installed tomorrow: New center console, new ZHP knob, Coby Shift Boot, new BMW roundel and some Sonax detailing treatment.

I am thrilled with the car, the modifications, and the condition. I think I'll hold onto this one..

The almighty question...should I leave the Style 135s on the car (They have new Pilot Sports) or swap them for my hyper-black VMR CSLs? Decisions decisions..

I will have to get my headlights re-built as the car unfortunately has the burnt ZKWs. I'm also in need of new brake pads (any recommendations??).

More photos to come tomorrow after the detail session!!

Congrats on the sale and congrats on the new family member!!! How many miles on her? It looks like it's in great shape! Beautiful.

I for one like the stock rims a lot. And you already have the best tires on them. :-) where are you sending your headlights to get rebuilt?

How did I forget to add the mileage?! Right at 138k I think. Same as my old car. Ran flawlessly from Florida to Knoxville today.

Beautiful pickup. Personally, I prefered the Silver Grey over the TiAg, but I know how you hated that color matched trim! :biggrin

Car looks great, sounds like a good deal... Congrats on the pickup man. Now, hang onto this one!

This car looks like it was maintained exceptionally well.. MiniD I don't know what ZHP you owned before, but what does this car have over your prior vehicle? This car is a 1st year ZHP with high mileage...

You are nuts. I still like that E36 you had.

Congrats on the latest acquisition.

Your question - I've been using ceramic Centrix pads for lower dust, have good bite on slotted/drilled rotors, have almost 30K miles on one set with tons of pad still remaining (more than half pad still remaining). You can buy other ceramic pads (Hawk, Akebono, etc.), I've had great service and no squeal from half a dozen sets of these Centrix. Hit up Ray (Smileyz) on this forum for a deal on the pads & other brake supplies.

Just out of curiosity, why'd you get rid of the other one only to buy... another one? Thought you wanted to switch up?

EBC Redstuff. High performance braking, awesome pedal feel, amazing wear (they're designed to be long-wearing), and wheels look almost freshly-washed after a week. I have them, and highly highly recommend them.
Plus, they're not made in China, but in England. Win.

I guess you could say I am a young version of Bill (illrep). But as I stated in the original post, I considered other cars. This car is far nicer than the previous two ZHPs I have owned.

Will look into those pads for sure!

I am using ebc brake pads and hate the dust they create.

It seems as if brake pads are one of the most controversial things on this forum, lol.

OE pads for me. Carbotech brake pads for track :)

Thanks to Dalton (Nike001) for recommending Sonax wax and the Sonax Net Shield. Great products.

Great looking car! that list of mods is pristine. My vote: leave the 135s on. Just my vote though, either would look amazing.

Are you going to be doing anything two tone with the interior?

Fucking grey interoirs...what a hideous option. Honesgly I hate my interior...I don't know why they offered anything but Alcantara, Black and Natural Brown on the ZHP..

From a GS3, this was sent.

Personally, I really like the dove grey.. I think it'd be sweet to swap in some black leather seats, would be a neat, individualized version of a two-tone... I still want to get my hands on some beat up door panels so I can do some custom two tone stuff that I've been thinking about...

Maybe its time to cruise eBay again... :shifty

Car looks great Connor!

I had that interior on my 323i which was TiAg. I liked it for a while, but it wasn't sporty enough. I think it works on the ZHP with the silver or black cube and the anthracite headliner. It's tough keeping those seats clean though. MiniD - you might want to check out the leathermasters stuff - works like a charm on my coral seats.

Black seats in that car would be absolutely awesome, though he might have to do the door cards, too.

Gray leather isn't my favorite, but I do think it works best with Tiag.

I will check leather masters out. I was planning on ordering Leatherqiue this week but I still have some research to do.

Thanks for all the compliments, guys! :)

Leather masters will clean those seats up and get rid of the shine. Should make them like new again if all I read about it is accurate. I've only used it on my new seats and steering wheel. Keeps my leather wheel "dry" looking with no shine.
