Still hoping for a response but I get the feeling he's out. I hope not, though, because I spent time fixing the DME and O2 sensors for him. :( It'd be a jerk thing to do to have someone fix a problem on a car because you wanted to buy it, then just leave.

What helped the most was actually the DME update, but it may have been a result of adaptation resets. If you haven't updated your DME or replaced your O2 sensors, I'd recommend you do both.

It's a great feeling. I've gotten quite a few compliments on this car. Can't wait to see what I get if I ever own an ///M.

Not that I would ever discourage someone from fulfilling their dreams of owing an ///M, but the ZHP is, as I am sure you are aware, a great car. Less maintenance, less cost of ownership (insurance, etc) and still a head-turner. I've had mine for over 8 years now, if it were to disappear tomorrow I'm not sure I would spring for an ///M, I would probably search for another ZHP sedan. But that is me, to each their own!

Actually in late 2008 I bought (leased) a left-over e90 M3 over the phone, with my car as trade. It was a crazy cheap deal on the M3, but I was going to get screwed on my ZHP. What was the breaking point? The $65+k (sticker, not deal) car didn't have heated seats. I know thats crazy, but it wasn't the best color combo either, one of those cars that every dealer gets when a new model comes out.

I'm glad I'm still in the ZHP.

Received the deposit. Barring some accident or weird happening, the car is pretty much sold.

What a great journey it's been! I hope you guys enjoyed keeping up with this thread. I've certainly enjoyed writing it and owning the car. Will tell the new owner to join up arms here with the brothuhhood (and sistuhhood). :rofl

I'd say it's pretty fair. I needed to sell the car so I lowered the price a bit to get it there. I'm content with what it is. :)
