So I'm thinking about dropping some cash on a CSL Trunk for the ZHP but i heard a lot come with some line in the back. I do not want that line. I read somewhere that Seibon makes csl trunks without that line... I was wondering if thats true... but i heard it also cost a pretty penny :shifty any other brands without the line or do they all have the line?

Oh that... Seibon is the only one I know of that doesn't have the line, even the real CSL has it.

Maybe Charlie knows

For what it's worth, I won't put a CSL trunk on my 330i ZHP. I know Ryan put one on her sedan and it looks great but she had to do lots of work to make it work. I'm sure she can chime in on this when she has some time...:thumbsup

I happen to love the lines on my sedan just the way it is regarding the bootlid and if "I were to" put on a CSL bootlid on my sedan, I would want the line to be there just like you have on the real CSL. If you look at the OEM CSL bootlid, they don't have a trunk handle on them, I would want to keep things as close to OEM as possible, but that's me.

As far as I know, Siebon is the only manufacturer that currently produces CSL style bootlids for E46 sedans....just keep in mind that you will have to do lots of dremeling and sanding/prep to get this trunk to fit properly.

I never knew the line came with a real CSL! thats crazy i never noticed that and i would like my car too look OEM as possible but a csl trunk is just badass ;D umm now that i know that line is OEM i dont even know what i want anymore.. but the line on the CSL is nothing compared to the ugly line on these trunks http://www.audi4life.com/images/BMW/M3/2003_BMW_M3_CSL_E46_4.jpg

Personally I think it ties the taillights together

Also, call Miggs... I think he has a sedan version

He has the rights to all the old Scorza stuff

He does have the rights to all the Scorza stuff but Scorza never made sedan CSL bootlids that I know of. The bootlid on my ///M happens to be a Scorza bootlid...

Here's the OEM CSL bootlid for comparison...

^agreed. What I meant was I think he makes a sedan version himself, not an old Scorza part
