About 120k overpriced LOL
I saw a local E30 M3 with <120k miles asking $17k. Just rebuiild that S14 and bore it to the 2.5L EVO motor, some wheels, suspension, and ask an extra 100k. Win

Yeah, if anything about $100k overpriced... But still, ludacris asking price... I think those 83 watchers will stay as watchers...

Would one of my good rich friends here on ZHP Mafia bid 160,000 for me? Please...I'll be your best friend forever.

Overpriced, yes. But that car is insane. My Dad and I actually looked at an Alpine White today (w/ a lot of EVO parts). We're on the hunt.

Wondering, if any of you had mad money, would you buy this car. It is pretty rare.

With the money they're asking I'd buy a lot of other ///M cars before this one.

For this kind of money, I wouldn't even buy a M car. I think I would buy something that has two turbos, a V6 and its JDM :shifty of course lots of mods too.

+1
I have absolutely no idea what this car is besides it being an extremely well-cared for E30 M3 but even with the EVO parts/etc., I think it would still take a true BMW fanatic to realize what it is.
With all that money I'd go for an R33 GTR or something. Older classic too, yes, but much more recognizable.....or an E46 M3 CSL with an HPF kit.

JDM cars? Ugh, no thanks... With $160k, I'd pick up an E90 ///M and an E70 ///M and use whatever's left for mods. Two vehicles, one for me and one for the wife. Simple as that.
Anything as rare as this car would never get driven, or you'd be petrified every time you did drive it... Stuff like that is NOT for me.

I still think it's over priced but where did your 120k miles come from?
This one has 22k so of course it's going to demand a stupid premium.

I think buying a classic car is a waste of money, unless you are stupid rich and the amount is negligible relative to the depth of your pockets. All you are buying is history at this point, and it's still just going to be a conversation starter and trophy piece.
Buy a 2013 GT500, rebuild with fully independent race suspension. Costs less than 70k. That's what I'd do, but I'm probably the only person on this board that likes Ford or American Muscle besides Cam. :rofl

Phew, glad I'm not the only one. I love BMW and all, but, damn. 662hp at 60k sounds pretty awesome to me. :)

Yes, but when I do drive my car, typically there's a Starbucks inside, kids in the back seat kicking my front seat, tools in the trunk, and I absolutely have no problem driving in the rain...
With this car, I'd feel bad doing that stuff... I'd probably still do it though. :eeps

I love bmws, but I would buy an e90m3 and an aston or a lambo for that kind of money. Sheesh. Or a restomoded car from the 60s/70s and 2 or 3 other cars.

Or buy one that is not numbers matching or some sort of restomod. That way it's reliable and you can actually enjoy it rather than it just sitting in the garage all of the time.

Nope. my first car was a 1968 impala coupe with a 396/TH400 combo that we punched out to a 406 with a drivable cam. Then I had a 79 cutlass supreme and 79 malibu. For the kind of scratch this guy/gal is asking I would invest in a 64 impala and turn it into a pro street car with a modern vette engine and suspension.

FYI - EVO motor is a stroker, so you actually need a crank and rods

Never heard of that car JP... it's amazing! I'll have to think about what my mad money car would be. I do love the current round of Maseratis and Aston's, but I'll come up with something more exotic. Frankly, maybe even a #'s matching '67 Corvette 427 L88 convertible. "Chevrolet officially rated the L88 engine at 430 hp, but most observers figured it was making at least 550".
http://www.autoweek.com/article/20130911/carnews/130919959
The cliff notes: "Being just one of 20 produced during that year, this rare breed made history for its $3.2 million price tag, the highest price ever achieved for a Corvette at any auction."
