Hello everyone I am looking at the kits ECS offers for the overhaul of the cooling system and was wondering if anyone has used this kit. http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E46-330i-M54_3.0l/Engine/Cooling/ES263522/
It is all genuine oem parts so I assume it would be a good buy. Let me know please!

Anytime
Previous owner of my car had that exact kit installed around 70,000 miles. No issues with it to date and I am at 109,000 miles right now.
The fact that it is all BMW genuine parts is a good thing.

Nice assist. There is certainly more than one way to skin this cat (and save a few bucks). You may want to consider upgraded pulleys with the money you are "saving" or you can go straight OEM.

And these are all genuine BMW parts, not aftermarket?
I know it says it on the home page, but I want to make sure this statement applies to all parts on the site, not just some.

From their FAQ: Q. Do you sell BMW OEM parts?
Yes, all parts are BMW OEM and have a two year warranty.

Only place I ever buy my parts is from www.oembimmerparts.com. Max is a top notch guy, fast shipping and great prices.
His kit is so much less. You don't need an aluminum pulley anyways. Same 2 year warranty.
http://www.oembimmerparts.com/BMW_Cooling_System_Refresh_Kit_p/e46coolrefrkit.htm
Or just put together your own "kit", it is still much cheaper.

Yep. Metal impeller isn't any better than the compressor from what I've read, the just fail differently.
Plastic impellers have been known to break. Metal impeller pumps are more prone to bearing failure.
Either way you'll be changing them out every 60k unless you go with the Stewart pump.

Does the expansion tank in this kit have the part no of the 'upgraded' expansion tank? or is it the same one as the factory one?
There was a thread somewhere about the expansion tank, and that it has been revised and that it has a new part number and now I can't find it... :(
Does anyone know the old and the new part numbers, so we can compare with the part no. listed on that website?
If this kit has the new version, that sure is a great price

I have a question for everyone - I've been thinking of getting the basic cooling system refresh kit but was wondering if throwing in a new radiator was necessary?
The factory radiator has over 100,000 miles on it and besides having a gigantic moth hanging dead center along with maybe a bee or two and some pebbles, it seems fine. However, if anyone has replaced theirs and saw an improvement in anything: MPG, power, throttle response, etc. then I may consider getting the more comprehensive package.

Always a good idea to replace it as a preventative measure just like the rest of the cooling system components.
I'll be doing mine at 90k.

The radiator has plastic components on it (the necks for where the hoses attach). You definitely want to replace it.

And this is off topic for this thread but the G.A.S DISA valve is the one to get correct? I want a all new valve so it's either a new oem one or one from G.A.S.

Just ordered all the parts in this kit: http://www.oembimmerparts.com/BMW_Cooling_System_Refresh_Kit_p/e46coolrefrkit.htm
And tossed in a new radiator and an aux. thermostat - no belts or pulleys since those were all replaced not too long ago.
The exact same kit that OEM Bimmerparts offers, my guy sourced everything for around $20 less. Adding on a radiator and the thermostat, final price is $509.55.
I'm missing a few things in the Master Cooling Kit (again, don't need those) but it seems like that price is a little higher than if you order from other places, or maybe source them separately. Just a heads up for anyone who may consider getting the basic or comprehensive kit.

Less power needed to rotate the lighter pulley, hence more power goes to wheels.
