I am in the market for a ZHP and on a budget (10k)
Found a 06.09.2004 build date RED/BLACK VERT AUTO w/ 61k miles
The dealer will work with my budget and I can have this car for 10 grand..
What do you think? will upload photos later but here is the vin # report link

10 grand is almost too good to be true! Don't care for automatic, but a good deal on the surface

Truecar usually has the best prices for ZHP's as it accounts for listings that would have the "enthusiast markup." That said, 10k seems like a good deal!

When I was looking for mine about year and half ago, I saw an '04 AT with about 85k miles that listed on Craigslist for $10k get snatched up the same day. By the time I could call it was gone.

If it visually passed, put down a deposit, then do a PPI. That mileage and price is NOT going to last even a few hours. I am sure you saw the for sale section. For anything below 80K miles, all north of $15K. Even if you have to put in a few grand to bring it to top shape, it is still a steal.

If your considering it defiantly put down a deposit. My car with 120k miles was sold in a day. I had it then someone else put a depo down due to a miscommunication then their financing fell through so I got it!

I found a couple of different cars.

The cheapest being a blue/tan AUTO sedan with 101k on it for 7700 but it needs work.
This car is a few hours from me and it doesnt even have pictures on the ad ATM.

I called in today stated my interest will make sure I can have a PPi scheduled tommorow.
What is the norm for this? does it include a sub-frame inspection?
This would be a ''toy'' car which will never be driven (rarely) and I only want to purchase if im not gonna loose my ass on it lol

If mechanics are good then like Bill said you can swap some things out. You could always sell the other parts on eBay or something.

Hope OP doesn't mind me sharing the link, since it looks like he's not interested anymore.

OP, I say keep looking since this isn't going to be your daily driver. Don't buy a car knowing you have to put some work into it if you don't have the time and effort.

It's possible this car was in a front and back accident? The rear bumper is sagging by the wheel well, and the diffuser is painted. Front M3 bumper instead of Mtech2. Different rims could mean the original 135s were damaged. I dont know, just thinking out loud. Anyone looking at this car, get a full PPI.

That's a spot on assessment my friend. If it weren't a vert, could make a sweet track car

yea i dont mind the link posted hope someone else buys it and takes better care of it then the PO
what scares me is its 4 hours away and since it doesnt have stock bumper im assuminig its been wrecked.

If it was a 6MT COUPE in ANY color combo with this milage I think even in this condition I would have picked it up..
The car is located in Orlando and im in Miami...
my budget is 10k (car is going to be financed)
has to be 04+ under 100k if anyone can point me in the right direction!!

I wouldnt be afraid of 100k+ miles ZHP if it is has full service records and for a right price. I find that cars for sale with around 90k miles usually dont have anything done except for oil changes. Owners know the car the will need $$$ when it's creeping up to 100k. That's why they sell it.

Yikes. Still could be fixed up though in the right hands if one wanted to tackle the task.

Just because the car was involved in some kind of accident does not mean it's worthless. All depends on how well the repairs were done. Sometimes a repaired car can have a number of new parts or a new paint job. Got to check some things really close though like wheel and body alignment.

We are not aggressively selling the '05 coupe (SGM/Black), A/T, 132k, Rebuilt title (I can't find any definitive problems with it other than a slight run on one of the rocker panels of any sort of body repair, but I'm no body guy). Listed below is everything I've done to it since we bought it with 128,000 back in September. Only selling because we have 2 other e46's. I love the car, but am wanting to do some other things with the $$ (wife wants a new bed and I want a car for HPDE's)

New headlights (p46 with fx-r upgrade and Orion V2 Angel Eyes)
New tires (Toyo Proxes T1 Sports staggered setup)
Electric fan conversion
CCV system replacement along with IAC valve cleaning
Replaced lower intake boot
Oil Filter Housing Gasket replacement
Oil change
Besian VANOS seal upgrade
Valve Cover Gasket replacement (you can find pics on here with the valve cover off)
Replaced spark plugs
Installed passenger seat occupancy emulator
Replaced front brake rotors (ECS coated) and pads (OEM)
Replaced side marker lights
Replaced cabin microfilter
Replaced rear diffuser
Khoalty matte kidney grills
Power steering flush
Idler pulley
New washer pump motor

$9k. If you wanted it in late May, I'd even drive it down there. Headed to the Chump Car race at Daytona during Memorial Day weekend.
