And the most painful... Luckily the only real casualty was the left tie rod. No bulldozers were harmed during filming.

The ZHP did OK, though only once the giant puddle drained a bit.

The bulldozer was sitting about 20 feet off the track right after an off-camber corner just past the giant puddle. No one really noticed it until the crash, but everyone agreed it was a damned stupid place to park the thing afterward.

+1 on the bulldozer! I'm surprised the autoX was still held with that much water on the course! (That or the organizers at the autoXs I've been to are just pansies . . . ) Looks like it was fun & made for some great pics, though!

Haha, I took out 4 DNF cones...needless to say I DNF'ed. Throttle control is extremely needed when you have all your aids turned off, as you can see how easy it can get loose.
No pictures. I really do need a new camera though. This GoPro Sucks.

I got screwed over on PAX and RAW. I was first Run group out of 3 and on our last run the rain stopped and the sun came out and dried up the pavement. So everyone besides us got dry runs...which sucks :(

Please explain the PAX and RAW datum.
PAX is ment to put all cars on a equal playing field. Some cars are more heavily modified than others, and some run Racing Compound tires whiles others run on street tires. It's not fair to compare those cars, so it takes those factors into affect and adjusts them accordingly.
If you know about the classes, A-Stock, B, C, D, E...then ST, STX, STR...etc, the PAX times are all different for each class.
For example, I am in A-Stock. It's the class where Corvettes, new M3s, and other high HP cars race. A E46 3 Series would be put into D-Stock...HUGE difference, and that is why I have hard time getting good times...lol
Anyways, I ran a 53.626 today. In PAX my time would be multiplied by .841 which equals 45.099
If a car that was running STX (Which I was last year) and had the same time, 53.626. It would be multiplied by *0.824 which equals 44.187.
The problem is with PAX is that if you don't modify your car to your classes limit, you would be at a dis-advantage in PAX (especially Stock classes as PAX is calculated off of R-Comp tires). For me, a stock car...I beat both heavily modified RX-8s in STX today but they killed me in PAX...it's just the way the world turns.
RAW is just raw times, no calculations

Good Job Kyle :) TC Kline is like 5 shops down from mine...really cool guys too. Mucho Expensive but nice stuff, I can introduce you to them :) They are always trying to get me to buy stuff...lol.
I went to BeaveRun this weekend for an HPDE and met up with Rob, had a great time, just no action pics since we were on the track at the same time. It was my first time tracking the BMW, I beat the piss out of it with zero problems :) . The rest of my experience has been in the NSX, Accord, and Prelude. I had a really good time in my car, and suprisingly I kept up with the ///M3 and the ZHP in the turns, then got my ass handed to me in the straights.

I know TC comes with a huge price tag, but for something that is performance oriented it's worth it IMO. If you go any other route (Like KW for example). They aren't set up to be track ready, they are too soft.
My friend who has a E36 M on Hoosiers just got them and he is in love, plus he got the connection big-time so hopefully they need a Z4 M test car ;).
Got any videos of the HPDE?
I brought the gopro and FORGOT to put it on the car...total fail. It was in my helmet bag and just forgot :( Just got the LCD screen add on for it too. Rob has some still shots from the track of other cars and a few of ours and the bimmers there.

A few shots from last weekends race. Best day was Sunday for me where I finished 1st in class and 6th in PAX out of 50 drivers.

When a wheel is leaving the ground does that mean sway bars are too firm/thick? I always wondered that. Awesome action pics!

Sometimes yes and sometimes no. Sometimes it's the suspension maxing out and there is no where else for it to travel besides up. Sometimes you do adjust it too much and that's the case

So the best adjustment for Auto-X would be to have sways adjusted just enough that the suspension can reach max travel at any given corner of the track. The more rubber stays on the ground, the less time it takes to complete.

Essentially, yes. You're giving up traction by lifting a wheel.

But I guess you get better pics and style points for lifting a tire off the ground! LOL It does look DOPE!

Lifting a wheel may mean that you're giving up grip somewhere, but usually it's a tradeoff that you're making to improve grip somewhere else.
Lots of very fast BMWs lift wheels. I don't think lifting a wheel makes you fast or slow, it's all about when, how, and why...
I spent a fair bit of time testing bar settings yesterday from a 27mm bar on full soft to a 30mm bar on nearly full stiff, and while the stiffest option lifts wheels, it's also the fastest. (for my driving, with those tires, on that surface, on that course...)
