Man, I need to get back to the Performance Center. I've done 2 events there, last in 2008. Got to drive a Z4MC just like mine, which was a real kick in the pants. I'd really love to drive the new M4 or m235i out there now.

I decided at the last minute to drive down to Colorado for the BMWCCA rally and I got a chance to meet Mike Renner from the Performance Center at my motel today. This is what he drove in......

He will be putting on a drifting demo with it tomorrow and you can also get in line to try it yourself. Needless to say, I will be getting there plenty early to get in line for a chance to drive it. Lots of nice Bimmers here! There is also a concours tomorrow I plan to check out but it sounds like there aren't very many entries.

I can confirm that it's not that hard to lose the back end and spin the M4 around.:biggrin I was second in line for a 5 minute drive around a skid pad set up by Mike. What a blast! It is a lot harder than it looks to get a good drift going but they didn't have a very good location for it. Even Mike spun more than once, I spun it around 3 times.

I took a few videos but they didn't turn out real great. I need more practice with my new camera.

Got home a few hours ago. I put on just under 2000 miles and the ZHP worked great the whole trip and the new Pilot Super Sports worked awesome! Got home to find a flat tire on my SUV! Two flats this month after going many years without one.
