Been lurking for a bit and suggested by a co-worker to register.

No ZHP owner, but been driving a 2003 330ci Sport since 06 when I picked it up CPO. Running strong at 198k on the odo.

Cheers!

Thanks for the welcome.

The car has been very good to me. Typical for this generation, I have changed over the control arms (replaced with ZHP last go around), new starter, fuel pump, lots of oil changes. Only stranded me once, just recently. Idler pulley grenaded itself and launched into the coolant expansion tank. Just little things that are expected after nearly 200k miles.

It is black/black with 5 MT. No recent pics. Sorry, I will try to grab some this summer.

Info about me? Car guy approaching his mid-40s. This is my second BMW, the first being a grey market E21 323i. Owned Audis, Saabs, countless VWs and a Nissan thrown in the mix. I'm in high-tech sales after a hiatus of a few years in the security industry where I got to play with countless GMC products and taught EVOC in a metric ton of CVPIs. I drive a lot for work and personal stuff and averaging about 40k/year lately. When I lived in the SW, work was a lot closer and drove significantly less.

I think BMW peaked with the E46 3 series. So much so, when I retire this 330ci from daily driver duty, it will be replaced with another low-mile E46. As stated, this car has been very good to me and I still love driving it.

Thanks, all!

Driving that much doesn't get old at all... not to me at least. :thumbsup

Well, an update. As of 7:30p this evening, I am now an official ZHP owner. I hope this improves my chances of being a member in good standing of the Mafia.

Almost exactly 160,000 mile difference between my 03 ZSP and new-to-me 06 ZHP; my 2003 now has a younger sibling to play with.

Gah I wish Oregon didn't require front plates. Your ZHP looks great without them.

Curves: CT issues 2 plates and expects you to wear them F&R. I'm a rebel.

slater: They are BBS RCs that need a good cleaning. 18x8.5 shod with Michelin PSS 255/35.

Yeah, I would do the same but I've been ticketed about 4-5 times in about the same number of years for not having a front plate. Not worth it to me.

Those are BBS wheels? :blink They look a lot like Arc-8's to me. Very nice.

What's funny about it - for as long as I can remember since CT required a front plate, the only people known to me who have been stopped for not having a F plate, both were driving their cars out of state. Once in NY and once in MA.

I usually have enough PC for a stop based on speed alone, a missing front plate is redundant for a stop.

CT doesn't pull you over strictly for plates. They'll tack it on to an existing charge if you get stopped, however, or at DUI checkpoints where it's just so easy to pull you aside.
