I think we can all agree that perhaps the best drive we've all had in our ZHPs was the initial drive home. Some of us have travelled many miles to get our ZHPs, and I figured it'd be fun to see just how far we've gone to get our hands on our beloved cars... It will be interesting to watch this thread and see who has the longest drive and shortest drive for their cars. Not to mention, it will show how far people have to go to locate the right car. So, post up following the format I've used (because I made it fun and witty.... I think!?!)

Distance driven: 2,233 miles driven on the way back.

Stopped and met up with friends and chilled with some Mafioso. I even worked for 6 hours the minute I got back to Baltimore.

The trip was four days long and I stayed at two hotels.

Looking back, this makes it seem like I found them all practically in my backyard which was pure dumb luck. Truth be told, I've driven thousands of miles looking and test driving no less than 30 ZHPs, I saw some great ones that I couldn't quite come to terms with with the current owners and I saw some dogs, some that needed a bit too much work, some not, some that we were playing the negotiating game when someone else swooped in and bought them, my loss, it's part of the game. They are out there, you gotta get out and look, feel, experience, see exactly what lights your fire. The 2006 coupe, ZHP #4, which we still have today, is hands down the tightest, sweetest ZHP I've ever driven, even better than the vert I found with under 10K miles, right now today I'll match it up against any stock ZHP with confidence that you'd agree it drives like new.

And Back: I drove the ZHP and my dad drove the 540i back
Distance driven: 1,178 miles (full trip), 817 miles (just to Atlanta and back)

My trip ended up being several stops. We drove from my house in Raleigh, NC to Atlanta to look at a silver ZHP. Once we got there, we found out the black ZHP I had my eye on was still available in Huntsville, AL. We drove to AL and found the car was trashed. We then drove back to Atlanta, GA picked up the silver ZHP and drove home.

test drove the car, bought it, did all the paperwork/transactions, and arranged transport via some closed vehicle transport company.
(PPI was done and passed with flying colors prior to flying to MN by a BMW specialist shop of my choice)

Flew back to Raleigh, NC next day, Sunday. (had to work Mon)
Car was delivered by transport on Tuesday.--Distance driven : 0 miles.
Car had 12k miles exactly. (now has 44k)
