I've never seen one with tan interior.

I think I've only ever seen one example in natural brown. But that may have been an interior swap.

If you're dead set on that combo you'll probably have to do an interior swap.

There were 28 sedans and 2 coupes with MT produced. I don't recall seeing one here. GL!

I actually drove one with this exact combo, Imola over sand beige last summer. Didn't buy it, guy wound up trading it in to a place on Long Island.

OP, I have a car with sand/beige interior and it shows dirt and wear fairly easily. I much prefer the natural brown or even alcantara.

Food for thought if you want something outside of tan leather

Thanks guys for the input so far : ). I would settle for NB leather interior.

That car from Houston is beautiful. Roughly how much would an interior swap Tan or NB leather cost?

Good call. In my opinion, it's not a matter of cost, but finding it. I have 1/2 of one for a sedan (rear seats and 4 door cards) I bought from a member here who was not able to find the front seats--nor can I. They are the real unicorn --at least for a sedan. There is a guy on e46f who is trying to sell s NB coupe interior.

You can dye the interior though, which is what I hope to do with my son's tan fronts. I hope to discuss it with a shop today. (there is the matter of the carpet also depending on what the car has)

In case anyone wants to see what the IR/Tan combo looks like, these photos were taken of a car that I was looking at in NY about 5 years ago in January 2009. If you need pics of IR over natural brown, those should be easier to come by. :biggrin

Thinking about it, in case you want a side-by-side comparo, here's IR/NB:

Not a huge fan of the tan, having two dogs. NB, though, that just :drool

I'd have a hard time deciding between NB and alcantara.

Finding what you're looking for will be very difficult.

I do have a tip for you though, which may end up better than what you're looking for. Find a car with a black interior, then buy a tan interior for it. You might even be able to find someone willing to trade interiors, as I've seen people looking for black interiors every once in a while. This way, you won't have to swap carpet or a dash, and having that extra black to complement the tan would make it look nicer than stock, IMO.

The good news is that a tan interior, if you did find one complete, would be a LOT cheaper and a LOT easier to find than Natural Brown would, for example. They're common seats so it shouldn't be a lot of expense to find a set. Swapping seats and door cards is easy.

Just throwing that out there as an idea; you'll have an easier time finding a nice ZHP with a black interior, so you still have the option to swap to tan.

and im just throwing this out there, Im selling my red zhp with 115k on it with black interior 6 speed, BUT if youd be really interested i have a 2004 325i sport with the Naturl brown interior that i would be willing to swap into my zhp for you if you were interested. it would just consist of me swapping seats and door panels. i would ask for a down payment but i would do that to help you out. let me know im located in appleton, wi and the car is being sold through my dealership but its my personal car.

I am a little worried about the ownership of the car. Its had 7 owners : /

The owner's response to my inquiry:
Hey Chris,

The windshield does need to be replaced and the driver seat is showing some wear but there are no tears or holes in the leather. The cloth on the C-pillars is falling off but I have not been able to find another set since the ZHP is the only 3 series sedan to have the black headliner. I can get it cleaned up and get back to you with more pictures tomorrow. I've got to head off to work soon and I have a doctors appointment later so I wont have time today. Oil I always change every 5,000 miles using mobil 1 full synthetic 0W-40 and the only fuel I use is 91 octane from Shell gas stations. Since I have owned it I have done all the maintenance myself and kept the receipts for anything purchased. The previous owner kept service records and receipts which I have as well. If you have any more questions please let me know. Also you can do a search for BMW vin decoder and enter the last 7 of the vin (KM04229) and that will let you know everything about the car.

Does anyone know if Arizona is like Massachusetts in that if the car is ever owned by a dealer (even though they are just trying to re-sell it) that they are added to the car as being an owner? Just curious if that may account for the high number of owners as my father had this with a car that he bought in MA.

There's one for sale in atlanta on craigslist right now for under $6k but it has a rebuilt title. That's the only imola/tan ZHP I've seen. NB is much more desireable to most people.
