Well, this lead dried up. E46 carpet is dealer only...

"Unfortunately, that is a dealer only carpet.

I'm sure a salvage yard would have black carpet... Any E46 with a black interior should do the trick.

Yeah, it's a matter of finding one that has not gotten wet in the yard or trashed/smoked in. Alex recommended car-part.com and I sent a few inquiries. It is strange that you have to search by model, 325i, 328i, 330i, etc. Different results for each.

Do we have anyone in the Queens/Flushing, NY area? I might have a lead on a carpet, but need some help with pickup and shipping. I can cover gas and trouble factor. LMK. My other option is to have Colin swing thru there on his was to the Cape this week.

Have you considered dying it?

Yes. The shop I talked to didn't recommend it for several reasons (gets a bit hard and doesn't last very long in his opinion).

This is resolved though. Colin stopped thru NYC and picked up a used one from a yard there. He's at the Cape for the weekend so the timing worked out well. I won't tell you what he said about NYC drivers.
