Hi Everyone...I'm a new member here and just purchased my 04 ZHP on Thursday, 7/17.

04' 330i 6MT 111k miles
Jet Black with Natural Brown Leather
Cold Weather Package
Navi
Bi-Xenon
BMW Performance Intake
Michelin Pilot Sports (these things STICK!)

I purchased from the original owner, who is a car enthusiast. It sat along side his Cayman S. He supplied all maintenance records and this thing is immaculate! I absolutely love this car. Handles on rails. Very solid and no squeaks or rattles.

I come from a Toyota/Lexus background and this is my second BMW. I also have a 93 325IS with an M52 and stage 2 AA turbo (although it could use a lot of TLC).

This ZHP is the perfect combination of comfort and performance. I can't see the need for doing any suspension work, aside for better looks. It handles so well as-is and is the perfect stiffness for me.

There are a few things that I don't necessarily like, though.

- Bi-Xenons suck. They don't light up the road near as good as my TSX, GS350 or my Prius
- Navi. Just a terrible UI. I think I'm going to replace it with a Dynavin some day

I look forward to my time here.

Cheers!

-Tony

Thanks for the warm welcome, fellas! I'll post pics after I wash and polish it, whenever I get some time!

Fighting off the urge to mod it. LOL!

Thanks! Here's one I took during fuel up this morning. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/25/qy9agydy.jpg

I've decided that the first thing I'm going to do to the car is the cooling system. Bought a Stewart pump, new thermostat, expansion tank and other goodies. Will tackle that hopefully next weekend.

Thanks! I've had the car for exactly one week now. Told myself no modding and doesn't look like I'm going to keep my word. Ugh! I have a set of 18" Kinesis K28's with step lips that are in major need of a refresh. Sat out in the sun for nine years or so! I've been looking for a 4door E46 with these but have had no luck. Here they are and also on an E46 M3. They are no where near this shape but this is what they'd look like when cleaned up. I believe they are 18x8.5 and 18x10. Were previously on an E36 M3 Sedan.

Welcome to the forum, great looking car and a nice color combo inside and out... I'm sure you'll enjoy your time here and to be honest, GOOD LUCK trying not to mod... :biggrin Its just too much fun! And speaking of that, those wheels look good. You might have trouble fitting those rears though, 10" is wide for a non M sedan...

I will say this. Regarding your two dislikes... I would be willing to bet your headlights only suck because you have ZKW headlights with severely burnt bowls. It is a common problem on ZHPs and requires either some sort of custom retrofit, or complete replacements. Do some searching and research on here and you'll find many threads. I've done way too much work on our headlights. Once you remedy the burnt bowls and get a good set of bulbs, you'll have great light. My lights are sorted and the output is fantastic...

In regards to the Nav unit. Keep in mind it is a 10 year old system, not exactly state of the art technology. There is plenty of talk regarding the nav units starting to fail. I haven't done a ton of research on this, but mine is starting to show its age. Again, there are fixes, but you won't be able to change the overall UI without replacing. Good luck with both repairs and enjoy your ZHP.

You're right. Trying not to mod is impossible!

The rears are actually 9.5. Checked them yesterday.

And yes, I have the crappy ZKW lights. Will do a retrofit eventually.
