Most of the parts were ordered yesterday from my dealer up in the Cleveland, OH area. My wife is currently there so, my son will pick them up in the morning for me and get them packed in her car for the delivery back to Tennessee..

The list,

Radiator expansion tank
Upper & lower radiator hoses
Radiator cap
2 gallons of BMW coolant
Upper & lower intake hoses
Valve cover gasket
2 new kidney grills {the old ones are literally falling out}
L & R sunshade track guides

Next to order from Summit

Stewart Performance Mechanical Water Pump

Just make sure you dilute the coolant. You need two gallons of coolant total, but needs to be cut in half with distilled water 50/50.

Parts in transit. My son Scott picked them up this morning. The other day when I told my wife he was handling it for me she asked him; how am I going to get the parts? Scott; you know where I live. :)

Good work. I hate the way the grill clips are designed. Too fragile.

They lasted for 135K, the bad FCAB a few years ago probably shortened their life.

Finally finished the valve cover gasket that was started 3 weeks ago before the emergency road trip. No extra part so, I think we're good. Next project is the cooling system overhaul that I may do next weekend.

OK, so I find this issue last Friday at 3:00 pm. That was after getting up at Thursday at 8:00 pm and working from 10:00 pm - 8:00 am. Yes, I'm back on nights. At that point I knew I couldn't make cars n coffee and the judged show that followed it an hour away. Back to bed I went after being up for 21 hours.

Thought about heading up in the morning in the truck as a spectator when I hit the sak. 7:15 pm the house phone ring and I miss it but, it wakes me enough to see there's a message from work. I check it and call in; got everything straight over the phone, I thought and lie back down. Nope, nada the phone ring again from work 20 minutes later and this time I end up going back in for multiple issues. I ended up staying for 3-1/2 hours. When I got home, I couldn't keek my eyes open and hit the bed again at midnight. About 5:30 am I woke up and headed back to work, thinking I'll check on things and be out in an hour so, that I could head to the shows. That never happened, landed up having to do some urgent paperwork to keep production running. By the time I got out it was too late to catch any of the distant shows.

Monday, when I got home from work I called my dealer in Cleveland OH to order the leaking sensor. Just so happened they were out of stock but, due in the next day so, the part was ordered.

When I woke up yesterday evening the part had arrived but, we were heading out for the monthly dinner with the neighborhood in less than an hour. After dinner it was to dark and we found a phone massage from work so, I headed back in at 8:00 pm yesterday and didn't head home until 9:00 this morning.

Caught up on the Mafia and facebook with my first beer, then headed to the garage to change and check the sensor. Everything looked sealed so, I broke out the wash bucket to finish everything up. Got everything washed including the fine detail on the wheels. Once done, I squiggled and toweled her off. Well at least I started to before the rain set in. Landed up pulling it back in the garage to finish it up the. Back out between the drops to do the door jambs. Now, I sitting here weighting for everything to dry up before taking that long awaited test drive.[emoji22]

At least it finally stopped raining. [emoji6]

Finally finished. Been done for over a week but with rain every day for the last week, I wasn't able to take a long test drive to make certain everything was sealed till this morning when I ran into town. All looked dry so, I put the splash pan back on to finish the job.

Griot's Best of Show Wax, first reflections, three coats with two hardening overnight.

These shots are unmodified, taken with my Canon T3i & circular porpoised filter, @ F11 & 100 ISO. Yes, I'm impressed but a ton of work.
