Hey all,
Had my first go a a manual today. Needless to say some good starts and even more bucking and stalling ;). I let out a few explicit words to say the least. It was fun but I couldn't figure it out with my big feet. They seemed to be getting messed about I don't know how... How do you bigger people drive manual. I'm 6'0 and wear a 13 shoe???

6'6" size 15 shoe. Managed just fine.

You just need practice.

:/ I know I need more practice but I don't have access to a manual car for driving everyday.

Sneakers are 12 1/2. Watch that your left heel doesn't get caught up in the mat/carpet when working the clutch. Right heel sits between throttle & brake pedals and tilts to whichever pedal is needed. Some cars I do catch under the dash, so perhaps that wasn't helping you? Otherwise no big, clunky shoes as you can't feel the pedals. Otherwise practice will make it better.

I'm 13's also. I've owned about 25 cars in the last 41 years, and every single one of them has been a stick, so I've had plenty of practice. You should be able to master the craft within a few hours of good practice, then really have your skills polished up within a week or two. 13's aren't that big, at least in a ZHP footwell.
