Hello. My name is Marc and I'm a new member from just outside if Dallas, TX. I'm not currently a ZHP or BMW owner, but definitely in the market. I will post a WTB topic soon, but just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. Looks like a great forum.

Regards,
Marc

Hey guys, thanks again for the welcome. I had a couple of questions, but not sure where to post.

1. Process to buy out of state, without seeing in person - wondering if there are best practices for an out of state, site unseen purchase (other than pics)? If you come to agreeable terms, do you work through some sort of an escrow account? Are sellers typically agreeable to this? Don't want to offend anyone...but I'm sure a seller is not going to ship a car without payment...and as a buyer, it's a tough proposition to pay for something without having it in hand or seeing it. Thanks for any thoughts.

2. Looking at a car that a member suggested. Initial pics look really clean. This is the one posted at $17K. Again, looks like a nice car, but trying to get some validation on a fair price.

Thanks for any help or input!

Read up on the how to buy thread. I haven't heard AF anyone using an online escrow account but I did consider that option.
Good PPI and preferably have a member here also check out the car (depending on location).

Yeah, odds are someone here is close. I'm not sure I speak for everyone, but I for one am perfectly happy to work for beer. :beer

And hey, welcome! Make yourself at home and stay a while.
