Black on black is a must. The lower the mileage the better and I prefer to have the sport cloth interior.

Yes, I have seen the black/black leather zhp on the 1st page here and am keeping my eye on it.

I got a good offer on my FJ today so its time to start shopping. If I cant find a good ZHP, its the hope to find a good E46 M3

Did you see this one? '04 Black/Alcantara 6MT, located in Columbus Ohio (not too far from you, relatively speaking). Miles are probably more than you'd like though…

that car looks a little too molested for my tastes personally, mileage aside (which is too high). I do appreciate the thought/link though.

There will be an alcantara interior for sale very very shortly... just saying...
You simply cannot go wrong with Stuart's ex-car. Not worth passing up such a clean car just because it has leather, IMO. So, buy that car, buy my interior -- hell, I'll even install it for you -- problem solved. :biggrin

Black on black is a good choice. My wife has one but I doubt I can convince her to sell it.

Good luck finding one.

Natural brown on imola is an interesting look. The above linked black car looks too rough and the mileage is higher than I like. I'm pretty picky/meticulous which is both a blessing and a curse.

thats a pretty good looking vert.........i couldn't see myself in a vert though. EAG, while a great business with regards to what the put out (and local to me) pisses me off at the same time because they have the e368 M Coupe market totally on lock. They have some nice E46 M3 coupes as well and occasionally will get a nice ZHP through there but jesus do you pay a premium. They have a really nice M coupe in black/black s54 motored goodness thats so out of my price range.

i just noticed my city still shows Louisville. I lived in the Ville for 4-5 years and moved back roughly 2 years ago this coming February to the Northern Kentucky area to take a job. Cincinnati is 5 minutes away with EAG being roughly 15-20 mins max.

well, i looked at the 06 M3 comp. pkg. car yesterday and went for a little test drive. 49k miles and 1 owner, regularly serviced at a dealer until the warranty expired and then a reputable bmw shop in the louisville area after that. needs rear tires, oil change, and a healthy detailing inside and out. the owner is supposed to be getting back to me on valve adjustment service history as well as rear subframe inspections and if they have been done. its a little more than what id like to spend but he mileage is whats so appealing and its a friggin M3.

theres a nice ZHP sedan that has EVERYTHING i want out of my requirements on bimmerforums, I'm just trying to get the guy to send me pictures of any paint or interior blemishes (overall, it looks to be in great shape). its tough to "look" at cars when they are in a different state. its a good looking car though and seemingly well taken care of/maintained.

Well the 2006 M3 comp pkg car is out of the running. Needed rear tires, oil change was due, and ac belt replaced (all not that bad, but totaling 4 figures in the fix) but the owner refused to get a PPI done and wouldnt budge on the price given what the car needed. He didnt know much about the car either which is unsettling for me.

Currently in serious talks with a one owner 2005 zhp w/ 88k miles in NC with great maintenance history and in stellar shape, I might end up closing a deal on this one. Its the only one I've got on the hook right now........

Pictures look good, talks with owner have been transparent, but still that "leap of faith risk". Makes it harder when its a few states away and hard to see in person

I believe that is the same car that a previous owner had posted up saying the lady he sold it to was selling. I spoke with her and she was not easy to work with. Car had some minor structural damage to a fender and she all but seemingly refused to speak with a PDR expert as to whether or not it was repairable with that type of service.

Great looking car and list of modifications regardless, just didn't seem to be totally helpful and I didn't want to waste my time

That car was owned by a member here then sold to a lady. She is now selling it. Low miles, good mods but kinda on the high side.

Look into that black on natural brown on the west coast.

trying to close a deal up on an 88k one owner black/black cloth 6MT sedan. Hoping to fly out next weds to charlotte to pick it up, but we'll see how the schedules work out once it hopefully gets to that point.

Pending this deal gets done, I have a feeling winter is going to be heavily laden with parts accumulation (F/R sways, front strut, possibly suspension, already started contemplating a good wheel/tire setup. Ive always been a fan of the BBS RSII staggered wheels (if anyone has pictures of these wheels on an E46 that would be stellar, ZHP would be even more clutch)). BavAudio iPod integration will be first on deck though along with black kidneys.

happy to report she made the trip back swimmingly. flew from cinci-----chicago-----charlotte and i think i was on the road after a test drive/loading up the extra set of wheels/tires and spare/extra parts by 1 at the latest. made it back to NKY in 6.5 hours instead of the 7.5 expected. did 75-78mph @ 30mpg the entire way back. interior is damn near immaculate and its mechanically sound.

you can lock this one down, ill start a project thread in the coming days. already ordering parts TONIGHT haha
