I have a 2005 330CI 6MT 330 CI Convertible with grey exterior and beige interior that I have driven the last 4 years and I love it; however, the upgrade bug has bit. I have been considering options that range from upgrading mine to a low mileage ZHP or M3.

I drove a 2006 M3 E46 manual trans convertible expecting to fall in love, but I did not find it as comfortable as my car and my wife hated the unforgiving suspension. I also tried a 2008 DCT M3 and it was a blast, but 11.2 MPG showing on the computer and the loss of trunk space with the top down are deterrents.

That leaves me with what I consider two viable options. I can upgrade my car with a better breathing drop in filter, Dinan software, Dinan or PE exhaust, and a SSK or I can find a good used ZHP that already has those options covered. I live in California so many upgrade options are not possible given the CARB laws.

I have found some nice ZHP 6MT cars but there always seems to be something that makes a less than ideal match (mileage, accident reported on CARFAX/Autocheck, distance from the seller to me).

If anyone knows of a low mileage 2005/2006 6MT convertible that has leather vs alcantra and has a solid service history, please let me know.

Thanks,
Greg

Hi. What do you consider "low" mileage?

Hey Guys,

I ended up finding a white M3 convertible with cinnamon interior (local California car with 6 speed stick and all options and only 36k miles). I traded in my 2005 ZSP convertible that has been very good to me the last 4 years so today was bittersweet. Thanks to anyone who may have had eyes out to help me find a vehicle.

Greg
