Yes, it's been awhile but, life happens right?

I wanted to take a moment and say hi to the members that may remember me and do a small intro to the new faces I've seen in my recent browsing.

So, to all the familiar names I see still posting :hi. It's great to see y'all. Love seeing your recent acquisitions, mods, and/or maintenance keeping the lovely ladies looking/running great.

To those who don't know me, I'm Ryan and I don't have a ZHP. But I've seen, smelled, touched, drooled over, and even driven one. I have a '99 323i manual, that's pretty custom and 99% DIY'd. Her name is Lucy, I've had her for over 10 years, and she just recently rolled over 205k miles. She still runs great, and if I may say, she's one fine lady.

Obligatory pics:

Her most recent mods are a ZHP weighed shift knob and I went to ///M school this year.

Oh, and I'm currently pregnant with my 2nd child. 30 weeks today, I'm due March 6.

Congrats on the baby on the way! My daughter Alyssa was born March 9th. You're due date is so close to Alyssa's.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

Kyle and I are very excited about the baby. It's a boy, BTW. Hopefully he's into cars a little more than his big sister.

Well congrats to you and Kyle! Love the pic of what I presume is you at ///M school.

Thank you Sean. Actually, that picture is from one of the autocrosses I've attended at the BMW performance center with my car. The M School is amazing, but so high paced I only took one picture, and it's terrible. But I'll post it anyways. We drove the e90 M3, f10 M5 and f12 M6, they're lined up in the background.

Heeeey Ryan is back!! Awesome stuff!! I had to double and triple check the thread date to make sure it was in fact a new thread. So glad you're back around. I too have been fairly distant from the forum, life happening for me too. But, still keep in touch with the family, and glad you checked back in as well.

Congrats on the baby, hope all is going smoothly thus far. Having a 2nd one is a LOT of work but definitely worth it!!

Stick around and keep in touch with your other family! :biggrin

My hubby is on the forum when ever I'm not nagging at him for "being on the forum all of the time", so as he was on the forum I looked over his shoulder and happened to see your post [emoji108]. I miss ya'll. your belly is cute!

Love the well wishes and welcome backs. Thanks so much everyone!

Yes, we're having a boy. He is completely unexpected but Kyle and I are very excited. Haven't picked out a definite name yet, and we're open to suggestions. ☺

I am in no place to make a suggestion. I fully think that it's between you and kyle. My wife and I are having a girl. Name is already decided (wouldn't have been if it was a boy) her name will be Landry Elizabeth.

That's a beautiful name! We had our girl named picked out too, Lily Clair. Boys' names just seem to be harder. Last name is Quattromani (Quattro-mon-eee). We are leaning towards Giovanni as a first name. But that's about it. I also like Enzo, Royce, :biggrin, but seriously :eeps.

I like Giovanni and Enzo. Royce always makes think of Royce (R pronounced as a H) Gracie, who is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu legend. I'm a former professional mma athlete. Just my opinion, I always have liked the name Enzo!

We didn't have names picked out for the twins until a couple of weeks before they arrived.
We'd get on the baby name websites and search through all of the names.
We tried to pick names that they wouldn't get teased about in school and were easy to say over and over because eventually, that's what you'll be doing :)

Couple of other things to consider with names... The poor kids will have to fill in all those bubbles on standardized tests... Those super long names will not be fun (I had to deal with this as a kid)

And initials. I always think about what the kid's initials will be with any given name. Poor kid named Steven Thomas Davis... STD for initials.. That'll get him some unwanted attention at some point I'm sure...

Anyway, good luck with the name choices! That is a lot of fun!

There's a lot of thought that has to go into a name, for sure. I just wish one would jump out at me and I would just "know" that should be the name.

My name was had its difficulties growing up so, I kept my Son's simple @ Scott. However; my 3 month old grandson's name is Wyatt and I think that's pretty cool.
