The ad was posted over a month ago, anyone know why it would take this long to sell? If there are no apparent glaring problems, is anyone in the area that would be willing to take a look at it for me?

Some more info that I received by the owner:

Third owner. He has owned it for six years and 48k miles (currently a reported 75k)
Claims no major accidents but was bumped by an elderly fellow in a parking lot. Resulted in some scratches that he said were dealt with. Did not indicate where these scratches were located. The car also hit in the rear and it sounds like one of the bumper clips broke. Occurred before his ownership and wasn't fixed but claims it is barely noticeable. The pictures he said were dated around November of 2014.
I asked about maintenance, he replied "only oil changes." When I asked for clarification he says that was all he did and "80% of the miles are highway miles...I rarely used this car until 4 months ago"
He says it has the Premium Package, but there is no VIN to verify. I believe it may have the Cold Weather Package since it has the high pressure headlight washers.
He has the original head unit as well as the no-brand listed aftermarket head unit. He says "it just says 'BMW' and its logo" when you turn it on.
Window tint is 35% on the front and 20% on the rear.
Interior: owner says "Interior is in good condition...leather is great except for a dry spot on the driver side seat...interior trim does have some scratches"
Exterior: owner says "People who have seen the car commented that the body is great for a black car...just the molding around the back windows are drying out. No rust or dents on the frame but rust spot on passenger side mirror (before my time) but the spot has not changed since I had it"
Aftermarket LED fog lights have been added.
Owner admits: front bumper lip has scratches due to high driveways, needs new rear tires, heavy doors, shift knob is in poor condition.
When asked about any other issues, he says the Check Engine Light has come on since Thursday. He states he had this problem previously about two years ago and it was thrown by an O2 sensor in the exhaust. He says the light went away before he had to fix it and was told by the dealer not to worry about it unless it comes back. He says it has come on for a day or two since that event two years ago. He is not sure what the current issue is but he does not plan to pay money to fix it it sounds like and said he would drop the price to $10k as a result.

If you're really serious about it, I can do a thorough "looking at" and write up a findings report on it. I live about an hour away and have recently been given all the time in the world.

Thanks for the offer! I'm on the fence. It worries me that if the owner's only maintenance was oil changes from 48k to 75k miles, the car might be in questionable shape internally or at least will need a fair amount of maintenance.

Well it will definitely need some maintenance soon; cooling system and suspension are what strikes me first. It really isn't that bad... If you do the work yourself, you can probably get away with maybe a grand in parts. If you don't, I'd be prepared to put in at least a couple of grand. Doesn't seem so bad to me, but I haven't seen the car yet.

Just give me the word if you want me to check it out.
