GruppeM is not about performance, 95% sound/looks. aFe has been reported to actually do something, the other two are really more about looks and "increased airflow." Whether you would notice any of them on a dyno other than your butt has been debated.

AFe for power, GruppeM for sound, anything in between is a mix (give or take) of both even tho AFe has a decent sound.

indeed it does - my aFe sounds awesome. i still smile every time i get into the throttle. :)

i talked to this guy a while back, he was trying to sell it on E46F too. it doesnt fit our cars otherwise i would have bought it.

i love my aFe, but i do like the stock fit and finish of the BMW Performance piece...

It would be nice if you could buy the larger diameter MAF end of the BMWP intake at the dealer because the 325 intakes usually go for cheaper since they are seemingly harder to sell.

BMW rates the performance intake at +3 HP. Consensus observed HP is +10. You won't really feel it but it looks good, sounds better, and there is juuuust slightly more pep.
