Hey guys,

First I would like to thank Dane for approving my registration. I'm the proud owner of a 2004 ZHP coupe. I gotta say I absolutely love my car. from the looks to the feeling I get when I take it for a spin. I've had it for about a week now and I still cant stop starring at it every time I park somewhere. I've owned a few nice cars in my life, some of witch include: 2002 Audi S4, 2006 Chrysler 300C SRT8, 2002 BMW 540 M Package, 2006 Nissan 350Z and a hand full of fox body mustangs. But I gotta say that this car gives me a different feeling. I cant really describe it... It's just different.

Well now onto some info I need from you guys. I was looking at the post you guys have showing how many zhp were built in sedans, coupes convertibles. I have a 04 coupe with color combination A07/ G7AT in manual trans and I live in Canada. According to that post there were 0 built like that, but according to zhpregistery I have 1 of 4 built. Can someone tell me a little about this... Not that it matters but I would realy love to know. Thanks in advance guys i'm so stoocked to be a part of this forum.

I'm not sure, but welcome! Sounds like you had some fun previous rides. Pics of your car?

welcome! where in canada are you? i saw a mystic blue coupe for sale recently near hamilton, ontario, but it wasn't a real ZHP (it was an M Sport). if that is your car, it explains why there wasn't any ZHPs like that built for canada. :)

EDIT: is that last 7 of the VIN PD95747?

Welcome!

Ok, as for the table... it's not a question of where they are located but where they were originally destined for. What is the last 7 of your VIN?

Thanks guys! The more I drive this car the more I love it. I will post some pics this evening. My vin is: PD95747. It Has every zhp part that should have came with the car including the CDN cluster. I bought it from a guy in Toronto who assured me it is a real ZHP. I love this color specially when its nice and clean, don't get to see many bmw in this color what a shame lol.

sorry man, that is an M Sport, not a ZHP. still a cool car! has an eisenmann exhaust, correct? and you got it from a guy named andy? looked like a good buy for his last asking price.

here's the build sheet - no S767A 'M Performance Package', so it's an M Sport:

Has eisenmann exhaust and I got it from a guy named Tony. Regardless still love this car but I realy tought it was a ZHP. It seemed to have everything. I typed in my vin on zhpregistery and it came back as 1 of 4. could there have been a mistake? Either way I still love driving this car and have some plans for it down the road.

most likely the PO mistakenly entered at zhpregistry or something. i've seen more than one M Sport being advertised as a ZHP on kijiji before. if they have the stock exhaust it's a dead giveaway because the tips are different.... and the build sheets don't lie.

enjoy the car!!

what about your username? :ducking

;)

i'm definitely not trying to sour your purchase, i guess i just get a little concerned when someone misrepresents something, and then someone else buys that something thinking it really IS that something.... ya know? it sucks for the misled.

No worries dude its a bummer! I tried calling this guy too but phone is off. As for my user name... it will definitely have a good story behind it lol. Well on the upside I was worried about modding the car if it was a rare ZHP but now i'm gonna start saving for some parts I wanted to get. It just sucks that he led me to believe my car was something it wasn't. I like to give everybody the benefit of doubt, for now i'm gonna assume he didn't take me for a ride and that maybe he was mistaken too. What goes around comes around. If he scammed me I'm sure it will come back to him in one way or another.

Congrats. Beautiful car. What are the differences between m sport and Zhp? I'd assume pretty negligible.

Question: What about the BMW 330 vehicles in the United Kingdom that look just like the ZHP-optioned cars that were available in the U.S.?
Answer: Those cars were equipped with the M Clubsport package. They looked very similar to the U.S. counterpart, but they did not get any of the engine modifications. It was a purely aesthetic package. The M Clubsport package did shed weight from the car, which brought its overall weight below the U.S. ZHP cars.

Question: And what about the BMW 330 vehicles in Canada that look like the ZHP in the United States?
Answer: Canada was different. In fact, BMW created the M Performance Package in Canada. It not only got the looks of its US counterpart, it also got the upgraded camshafts and engine tweaks. One thing that it didn't get, though, was the red needles on the instrument cluster. Moreover, the redline is at 6500 RPM, even though the car will rev to 6800 RPM -- just like its US ZHP counterpart. It also got the BMW Performance Package exhaust with the thinner walls (exactly like the one on the ZHP). Therefore, while it was not given the ZHP code name, it's simply a ZHP by another name. Indeed, it was given the option code of ZAM.

Question: I know that I've seen other BMW 330 vehicles in Canada that look like the US ZHP and the Canadian M Performance Package. However, they did not get the upgraded engine tweaks. What was that version called?
Answer: That's the M-sport package. The M-sport package came standard with 225 HP (like the stock 330) but it got the M-tech II Aero body kit. The M-sport package has the standard 330i thick chrome exhaust tips with the flap inside of the right-side tip.

Question: And what about Mexico? Didn't they produce a BMW that looked exactly like the ZHP in the United States?
Answer: Yes. It was called the F1 Package and it was available on the 320i. However, it was the equivalent of the M-sport package found in Canada, which did not get any of the upgraded engine modifications.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcomes. I was looking at the build sheet and my car also came with ZHP wheels. Wish I had them with the car. I'm probably gonna buy a set of bbs LM or csl reps or something similar. I really like those style of rims. Also will be in the market for a csl rep bumper. Thinking of going with Coilovers or springs first before any other mod. But before I start modding I'm gonna spend some time and money on preventative maintenance. Any input would be appreciated

^ Lol. I'm always the one to do maintenance first before anything. I believe you need a strong foundation to build on. It's not fun being stuck on the side of the road for something you neglected. I want the csl front bumper and trunk lid but I was also considering the replica M3 rear bumper but I'm worried it will not look that great as our cars aren't as wide as the M3. If you guys have any pics of non M cars with M conversions I would love to see them to get some ideas
