hmmm.... new addition on the house, which includes new kitchen and bathroom, and porch... or F80 M3... hmmm...

i think it will be 10 years before i am driving one of those...

The thing that scares me with carbon ceramic brakes is the replacement cost when due. I know they are supposed to last much longer than metal brakes, but at a replacement cost of around $5k, last I heard, seems a bit frightening for other than the independently wealthy.

yep. you can do a lot of conventional pad + rotor changes for $5K... :)

One thing to keep in mind about those rotors is that by the time you'll need them, they'll be a lot cheaper. It's like the 135i Performance calipers; when I first bought the kit, they were over $700 per caliper. Now they're less than half that.

Plus, if you add the extended maintenance, the cost of that will cover whatever rotor replacements you'll need in that timeframe anyway.
