I was under my zhp earlier installing a new sway bar and was greeted by a new leak!
The plastic pan was covered in oil of some sort, looked to be black. I was able to determine which hose it was coming from. Trying to figure out what the hose leads to/ part #
Looks to be the upper hose in the picture under the steering rack

Pretty sure that is power steering hose. Will look at realoem later unless someone beats me to it.

Yup, that's my car. I wiped down the fluid from the hose but it was coated in it when I first got under there.

That's what I was thinking Peter. Are you sure the leak isn't coming from higher up?
I posted the parts I the PS DIY a few days back if that is what you need.

You should be able to tell by smelling the fluid but who knows after it's been sitting for a while. Could be the oil pan which leaked on my ZHP and caused similar issues. You can check that by looking around the seal or bolts holding the pan on.

Thanks guys!
My biggest concern was that it might be transmission fluid with it being an autotragic. Going to have to have to make some time and check the bolts + seals on the oil pan. Didn't really see much oil around the pan, mostly residue

Have you ever smelt transmission fluid? It has a very distinctive smell and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be that far up on the car. If anything it'd be behind the engine or near the center console area.

X2...Tranny fluid smells pretty Nasty. Could it be the valve cover gasket leaking just underneath the Vanos dripping down?
