Hey guys I bought a 2005 Imola ZHP. Bought her with 126,200 so she has high miles but drives like new. Previous cars include 3 GTI's, Saab 9-2x (saabaru), Mach 1, and recently a mk6 TDI Golf. My mechanic inspected it and it has zero leaks and the undercarriage looks really clean. Previous owner did clear corners and red tails and unfortunately did a muffler and resonator delete. I'm guessing the car was mostly highway driven since the paint is almost sandblasted between the hood and fenders and has plenty of rock chips :biggrin:I guess I will use this thread as a way to keep track of the maintenance and mods done to the car.
So far I ordered
OEM Plate Holder
Gloss Black Kidney Grilles
New Oem Bmw roundels
Cobywheel steering wheel, zhp knob, shift boot, Ebrake boot and armrest
BMW Performance axle back exhaust

Welcome.

126k is not really high miles. Plenty more of them to enjoy.

Welcome. I also got a 2005 IR sedan recently. 139,000 miles on the clock.

Welcome!
OEM front plate bracket is usually a delete mod. People have a way to position it off-center using the tow hook I think.

Yup there is a bracket that screws into the tow hook. Pretty slick.

I could not find any on the regular websites so I bit the bullet and ordered a set from am-autoparts on Ebay. If the fitment is bad, Ill just return them

Thanks for the welcome guys! And I've had bad experience with the tow hook plate mod. I had it done on my GTI but I park in NYC a few months out of the year and it always got bent from inattentive parkers. It might not look as good, but I'll be fine with the oem location until I move away from the city.

Welcome. Car looks good. Both gominigo and (drawing a blank on the other name, will remember) have good quality tow hook license plate kits when you are ready.

US Mill Works is what I have. I may also pick this guy up as an affiliate. Then we'll have a third option.

Best no hole center option I've seen.

I really like those brackets! Im just worried the plastic will snap when someone bumps into you while parking. Main reason I'm going with he oem rubstrip location.
