Folks,

I managed to replace the pre-cat O2 sensors today without much trouble. However, after the replacement, I seem to be getting the MIL light with the following code:

P0030: HO2S Heater Control Circuit (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

Freeze frame report generated by Torque for Android
================================================== =======

Vehicle VIN: Not present
Vehicle Manufacturer: Unknown
Vehicle Calibration ID: 7541336

Freeze frame information:
------------------
Fuel Status = 0 byte
Engine Load = 10.588 %
Engine Coolant Temperature = 84 °C
Fuel Trim Bank 1 Short Term = 0 %
Fuel Trim Bank 2 Short Term = 0 %
Fuel Trim Bank 2 Long Term = -2.344 %
Engine RPM = 713 rpm
Speed (OBD) = 0 km/h

End of report.

I cleared the code with Torque but it kept appearing subsequently. Would this indicate a faulty O2 sensor heater circuit? Any help would be much appreciated!

Do'h!

So I went back to check the connectors first and found out that the connecter for the Bank 1, Sensor 1 was not plugged in all the way. As soon as I plugged it in and cleared the codes, I was good to go. I drove around a bunch and the codes did not come back.

This may help somebody in the future.

Thanks Peter. It was literally a 45 minute job end to end and now my earlier check engine ( the reason I ordered these sensors in the first place) seems to have been fixed. Overall the O2 sensors were totally worth it.
