Central Lock Button

Ok, so its not what you think... I already fixed by re-securing the bottom plate of the switch, and have double checked to make sure that this is not the issue this time...

The fob works, the fuses for central locking are all intact, and the hazard switch works just fine- BUT, the lock switch does nothing.

Beyond the standard switch bottom plate re-secure and the fuses, what are the next most common failures? Dirty switch? Wires fried? Something else?
