Hello guys,

i am Mauro, 33years old in a couple of days and working in a videosurveillance IT company. I am quite passionate of cars, mainly because my dad worked the past 30years in a garage. Now it is for me more a hobby to work in his place.
I am having a company car, which is currently a BMW 320d F30.
I privately own a BMW 320d as well, but a E46 (mainly for my girlfriend).

I love to retrofit options on it :).

the cars is from 03/2003
247000kms
This is the list of options :

Mauro,

Welcome to the Family. Lots of good work done. What are "triangles"? Side markers?

Hello guys,

thanks for the warm welcome :).
I modified the first post and put some pictures of my E46. I will try to find some of my F30 tomorrow, i don't have anything in my computer right now.
@danewilson77, sorry triangles wasn't the good word in English, but in French. I replaced the wishbones in fact.

Hope i won't do too many mistakes, English isn't my native language :) I will also put some pictures of the different modification i did when i will have few minutes free.

Welcome. Triangles would be known here as control arms I believe. Nice e46 touring you have there.

Welcome to the mafia. Don't worry about your English - you probably have it mastered more than some of us anyway...and it is our primary language so we have no excuse!

I have a friend who lives in Belgium who is a Porsche guy...but we still speak on occasion for our love of German automobiles even if they come from different parts of the country... 😉

Bienvenue à la Mafia! Une semaine prochaine je étais en Ghent, Antwerpen, et Bruxelles! :) It was an amazing time to see all the cars you drive in Europe. I wish we had the selection of engines, trims, options that you guys have! In order to have a fancy BMW we have to purchase a bigger engine. To have the smaller engine here, it means we get a a lot less fancy options.

I meant this part :

I changed both completely (not only the silent-bloc)

Merci ami français. Wow, et tu es né aux états-unis ou tu as bougé là-bas ?

Thanks. Of course you can't mess up discussing things about Porsche or BMW ;)

Thanks ;). Really ? I didn't know that there were so much differences about options and engine size in between Europe and the US ? Quite strange, but i guess it is a question of making more money by forcing you to purchase bigger engine, as you can't really go in another country to buy your car like we could do if, for example, the car would be more expensive in Belgium, we have 200kms to do and we are in Germany ... Of course, this is only a guess.

I do have a question, if i want to show all the retrofit i have done so far, is it the right place to do it or shall i create another subject in another section ? I haven't found a section like "present your car" or so ??

Thanks for the feedback, i will create a new thread in projects, as i will show more retrofits than maintenance :).

Another small question for you guys, i assume that you also use WDS for some of your project to check out the wires, but i do have an issue with all of them that i can't follow the hyperlink to a connector to see the pinout and the location for example. Do someone have a clue about that ?

Ha ok, ça fait un bail. Un peu comme mes parents, arrivé en Belgique a 13ans environ, ils ont maintenant presque la 60aine ...

Welcome from Los Angeles!

The links have never worked for me either. I just enter the connector part number into the search and find it that way.

Thanks wsmeyer. I wasn't sure if it was a missing plugin or whatever. I was also doing it like you describe, thanks for the tip :thumbsup
