Noticed this after the road trip down to Emerald Isle, specifically, right before we got back (about 30 seconds from the house):

When starting from a stop or during a slow roll (turning onto streets for instance) when i turn the wheel to the right (nearly locked) at some point during the car straightening itself out, I hear a popping/clunk noise from the front suspension and can ever so slightly feel it in the steering wheel. Its not a deep tone, my first guess would be tie rods, any input?

I have intentions to replace the suspension with coilovers and do an entire refresh front and rear of bushings/suspension components/reinforcements/etc. when doing the swap but want to try and identify what this small maintenance issue could be.

I think I've heard about that happening with a bad rack here. Let me see if I can find the thread.

Here it is http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?14317-bmw-says-my-co-workers-car-needs-a-steering-rack-just-looking-for-advice

Last post in that thread kinda fits what I'm experiencing, everything else as far as a heavy steering wheel doesn't apply. Would kinda blow if it is the rack, I'll have to get my Indy to diagnose eventually.

Any other input would be appreciated

I suppose you've already checked your LCAB? They can get pretty noisy when they're really beat. Sway bar end links can get noisy too but they are usually over bumps...
