I am the original owner, having picked up this car in Munich via European Delivery. The car is in excellent condition, having always been garaged, never seen a winter (California car), and maintained at BMW of Mountain View, and the top independent BMW shops in the SF Bay Area and SoCal.
I never thought this day would come. Over the years, I've received a number of random requests asking if I would sell my car, including notes left on the car from strangers, parking valets, and my local SoCal independent BMW service shop asking me every time I go in for a service. Up until now, I've been thinking I would hang onto this car forever, but it's finally time to bid farewell to the car.
I probably have most, if not all, of the service records. The only significant service that has been required (other than oil services and Inspection I), was installation of a new AC evaporator core after the original one developed a leak. This was a major expense ($2,400), and was done by the top independent BMW shop on the Westside, with BMW OEM parts, BMW warranty, etc. The shop owner asked me repeatedly both before and after the job was done if I would be willing to sell my car, remarking how nice of a condition the car is in, and that he had several customers that would be interested in buying the car. I figured I would post online here for a week before selling to/through my local BMW shop.
