Up for sale is a set of used OE bmw zhp front control arms.

Mileage is roughly 133k.

Drivers side arm is in good condition. No tears or rips in the boots and the ball joints are fairly tight.

Passenger side arm has a torn inner boot on the balljoint. Outer ball joint is in okay shape.

If you mean ball joints, then no, they cannot be replaced.

I took down the price since I am donating these arms to Shawn.

Shawn, lollipops are fcab's, and I would not recommend using used control arms with old ball joints. Old arms will be more work than its worth, you will be doing this again with new ones before you know it... it is a waste of time imo.

Clean them up and hang them in your man cave too lol.

I have no use for them and was going to throw them away. Figured I would throw them up on the forum and see if anybody wants them for whatever reason.

could take off m stickers and put them on lemforder arms bp...good to go for when people at cars and coffee, jack up your car and crawl on the ground to make sure they are there...because that happens all the time. :p

Thanks John. I was talking about the Tootsie Pop! I have one clunky side and figured this would be a way to help diagnose it.

Haha, no problem. I think I need new control arms at 170,000 miles myself, I got the low speed clunk but have to wait because of my job situation. I will only go with new arms because it is really the only way to figure it out. Good luck with whatever route you choose to figure it out.

I apologize right up front for digging up this old thread, but I was under my car tonight and saw this label on my control arms and was curious if this was the original control arm or a replacement? Of the many threads on control arms, I felt like I was pulling the scab off the wound by resurrecting ANY of these threads

But this was the only thread I could find that showed the same label as mine... Thanks VAS

So I'm assuming mine are the originals at 85K miles. No issues but curious

Only the genuine bmw control arms have the sticker.

The oe replacement units from lemforder do not have them and neither do the meyle ( do not recommend those )

However my guess is the ones on your car are the same ones that left the factory. The zhp control arms have metal ball joints so they last alot longer.

Thanks Vas, good to know. And glad mine are still doing the job well. I did immediately need to change the FCAB's in 2017 when I bought the car (Meyle). I only have 8K miles on those, so not enough data to take a stand on their quality
