Hey Guys and Gals,

Glad to be apart of the ZHP Mafia, Ive been Trolling for a few months and decided it was time to join up.

The Car : 2004 Swartz 2 ZHP.
The Goal: Purchase a fun daily driver So I can Tear into my 1999 E36 M3.

I started out like most of us.. meticulously searching craigslist within a 500 mile radius ( in Texas thats not hard ). I was searching for a clean ZSP because my budget of 5000$ wasnt going to get me a ZHP. I viewed about 5 cars and was pretty much sold on a nice Alpine/Peanut butter combination ZSP, when out of no where a craigslist ad with a 2004 330i ZHP (150k) turns up for 2900$??! The ad expressed that it had been slightly sideswiped on the drivers quarter panel and was in need of repair, thus the lower asking price. I was a little concerned but shrugged it it off. The main issue was it was a work day and there was no way it was going to last until the weekend. So I did what any responsible adult would do... Called in sick.:thumbup
Luckily my wife was already off and was just as excited as I was so we began the drive to Plugerville Tx. Upon our arrival 3 hours later we pulled up next to this.

She had clearly seen better days, but if it only had cosmetic issues i was up to the challenge.

I ask the owner what happen to the car and this is what he said.

Seller- "this car belonged to my son who is now serving time for the foreseeable future. He tried to out run the cops in this car so his mother and I dont want to see anymore.
Me- Sooooo is that where the damage came from?
Seller- Yeah, they attempted to preform a stint maneuver to get him to stop...
Me- and what about the bumper ? it looks like hell ?
Seller- apparently that happen at the impound.
Me- Impound???
Seller- Yes, this is the main reason Im selling the car so low. I dont really care what its worth, I just want the money back from all the impound charges.
Me- (pulls out wod of cash ):fistpump

3 hours later it was parked outside my house :)

How was the car mechanically? Any notable maintenance that it needed? Quite a good find.
