This car looks good. A word of caution : check the yelp reviews for this dealer.

you know, i hadn't driven a steptronic car until i bought a 2003 330i M Sport last week. it is the nicest auto trans i've ever driven - it's not a double-clutch gearbox obviously, but for a 'regular' autobox, put it in sport mode and drive. it shifts very smoothly and intuitively. it's a different kind of character.

Adding paddle shifters helps too--I did that in my OB car that I sold. But it still not an MT if that's what you like to drive.

Yeah I have no doubt the technology is good, in fact better performance all around than you get out of the good old 3 pedals - I just like to do the driving myself. I had a 2002 M3 w/ the SMG box and I had to sell it for the transmission alone, even though I loved the car.

So why is this car listed so cheap? Seems to be s great deal. I'd like to get those anthracite bbs wheels

Sometimes these sketchi dealers leave cars like this listed to attract people there, I'd be surprised if this car is actually still on the lot.

This is not correct for this generation of automatic. The new ones are indeed better performing, but not the ones from the E46. They still are pretty nice though. They shift very smoothly, which is more than can be said for most automatics of the time.

Dunno. Those wheels are crazy amounts of money by themselves (look like BBS CH-R's).
I have a feeling this car was owned by an enthusiast at some point in its life. S/he probably have a euro front plate judging by the euro front plate bracket and the wheel choice. Only enthusiasts buy wheels like that...

And before anyone says it - there are people who prefer an automatic for whatever reason, so I'd say this car was probably looked after at some point before it arrived at the dealer, but that's just my guess.
