It seems like most of us love our cars and spent some time trying to find the perfect (to us) decade old car. Did anyone here at the Mafia actual buy their ZHP new?

How long has everyone had their car?

Bought CPO in May '09. Given the mileage when I got it (32K), the mint condition, and that it was 3 years old, I'm guessing it was coming off a lease.

I bought my zhp back in November of 2012 with 90k. And got the zhp for the wife in March of 2014 with 116k.

Original owners are here but they are slim.

It took me far too long to come around to BMWs in general, but as soon as I discovered the existence of the ZHP, I owned one within a month. That was just shy of 5 years ago, and like the others have said I'm all about keeping this gal on the roads for as long as possible. She's paid off as of last month and now begins an epic maintenance/improvements journey :)

*bought one in 2013 for my dad, so only owned it for maybe a week.

I have considered saving a local Imola that has seen better days, but I'm out of garage space.
Plus I'm not very fond of the light beige interior.

Bought mine February 9, 2010 w/31k - bought from a Honda Dealership in Palm Beach County.

I have driven everywhere in Florida. I have went from the Keys all the way to Portland Maine, at one point in Maryland did an entire cooling system swap on the side of the highway.

At the current time I have 174,740 miles.

Lots of work to do. But she's never let me down. Never left me stranded. I always keep tools on hand just in case.

Not really new to BMWs or E46s. Bought my first, an E21, in 1997. Grabbed my E46 in Oct '06 but just got into the ZHP game this summer, August.

Built in March 03, bought in June 03, with 3000 miles on it. PO decided he wanted one of the last E39 M5s and could not afford both. I made him a low-ball offer, and he accepted. It was probably still a couple thousand higher than what the dealer was willing to give him in trade.

So that's 12 years, 5 mos, 4 days. Or 4540 days. Currently 79,000 miles.

Bought my 04 vert in June.

Discovered what a ZHP was like five years ago, joined the Mafia soon after and started learning. I was going to buy a sedan for a daily driver, but decided against it.

The stars finally aligned this summer and I made it happen. I love the car, but I'm already daydreaming about replacing it with an E46 M3. Probably a year from this spring. Maybe.

Bought my 05 in March of 2008, 39k miles. 145k today. I nearly sold it a few years ago just before it rolled over 100k, but couldn't figure out what I'd replace it with!

Mine was actually a Christmas present. Purchased CPO with 28,090 miles, on Saturday December 23, 2006 at 11:00 AM. They were locking the doors and turning off the lights as we left. [emoji12]
