I saw this video for a great looking lift Stand / jack stand, and seems that it would be much safer than a standard Jack Stand
i like the concept very much, and it seems it will raise the car higher than a standard Jack Stand.. here is a link to the website and video

There was a kickstarter page around about this product. Several concerns were raised
*Works well if you need the car raised, but are able to leave the wheels on
*Must raise car wheel in order to lower onto myliftstand
*Each lift is 35lbs....
*Product not available for sale?

This was all I can remember at the moment.

Honestly, I feel like it not being available for sale is the biggest issue here.

Actually, it says to contact them for pricing and details.

Did a little digging, and found this post on here (http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?15911-Race-Ramps-Wheel-Cribs-12-quot)

I wonder if you could place the light under the frame rail or jack pad?

if they cost $750 then I would save up for a garage lift 2 post
you can get them for around $1500

You would need the garage space for a 2 post lift.

I keep looking at these, but I really don't have the garage space for it.

yeah, i was looking at those too - really nice for a not-so-perfect garage floor (mine is old and in lousy shape).

Now I just need a bigger garage, or a good convincing argument to my wife.

Those are interesting...although the worst-case-scenario-guy in me fears what happens if the hydraulics fail. I saw in the video they put down some latch to lock it in place but there's only two for 3500 lbs. Does look like an otherwise smart design with good ease of use.

Could easily slide a few jackstands as a catch under the frame. I probably would if I were going under the car.

Yea. I'm not sure if it is a long term solution for home but it certainly is a good one for track days!

Technically you could get like a MaxJax like what I have (although I don't have a garage lol). You can unbolt everything and move it somewhere when you don't need it. But I'm like even too lazy to do that shit nowadays lol I left the posts in a permanent position and just move the hydraulic motor and lines when I need. If I had a garage though, all that stuff would be in a permanent position cause i'm lazy.

There's just no perfect solution.

The MyLiftStands are cool, but I want to take the wheels off twice as much as I just want to lift the car up with the wheels on.

The QuickJack is also nice, and I wouldn't worry about the hydraulics because it has a latch/brace, but $900 is more than I want to spend and it seems dainty. At that price, I may as well look at the two-post hoists and have something much heavier-duty.

It makes me want to build something. And sell it.

There is a market for it. Quick jacks is a very good mobile solution for track days.

I assume this would need to be bolted to floor, no? It looks like it would work well.

Kind of neat how the jack posts are on wheels for storing away in a garage corner and bolted into pre-sunk/set bolt anchors when ready to function as a car lift system.

Damn. This looks really nice. There is another thing to add to my "want" list. We have a HUGE list of wants for our next house. Hoping to build in 2017/2018.

Even though the MaxJax™looks plenty safe, I'd likely also put two of these on my wish list, too.

the MaxJax works fine for me. I did originally use the bolts and stuff that they provided and it was perfect. But then I got tired of busting out the posts so I redid the concrete with studs already in them and just made them a more permanent solution. Only thing that sucks is that the arms aren't low profile so I have to use ramps clear them.
