FNG= Friekin' New Guy
In Northern VA
Just recently bought my first BMW. I've had several p-cars, love the old air-cooled 911s, but they've gotten out of hand price-wise. Stumbled across this 2004 330cic ZHP and I always loved the look of this car with the performance package.

It only has 48k and the paint is all original. (I appraise cars, so I could tell.)
I'm looking forward to being a part of this forum! Thanks for having me.

Welcome! Good looking example (I love Natural Brown interiors). Did the previous owner swap out the clear side markers and front indicators for amber ones?

Thanks, everyone. Glad to be here.
BMWCurves, you may be right about the lights. I hadn't picked up on that yet. Should the rear turn signals be clear as well? 22620
I live in Annandale near Little River Turnpike and I'd love to attend any related events in the area, when my schedule allows of course.

Yup, a previous owner must've swapped out those lights. Well, I'm a bit of a purist, so I'll have to add getting the clear lights on my xmas list.

I've been told I should switch since i got the car...still have the ambers...for yours they are different as most coupes/verts have clear.

Ambers are money on that car. I say keep 'em.
BTW, some facelift coupes/convertibles seem to have gotten ambers from the factory. No idea why.

Agreed, you never see ambers on Sport/Performance Package-equiped coupes/verts. I think it's a cool and unique look!

Huh, I didn't know that. I thought that was BMW's thing with coupes/verts, to switch it to clears for Sport Package car (even my '03 non-facelift coupe had clears).

Seems to be hit or miss (more hit)... I've seen a few sport package cars with ambers.

Thanks, Guys. I appreciate the compliments. I absolutely love driving this car. I've always thought the 3-series with sports packages (or ZHP in this case) simply felt like an extension of myself when driving them. < ooh, deep! Perhaps down the road I'll swap out the tranny, but for now I just need to do some basic maintenance to get her into shape. I have to be careful it doesn't become an obsession. [emoji6]

The common trait I noticed in my area for the ones w/ ambers was usually a 2004 + nonsport package coupe.

The 330zhp was indeed the first and only BMW till date that feels like it reads my mind...an extension as you so rightly put.
I have driven the regular 328 and 335 and they are not not quite there.
