In the hopes of teaching myself how to create Vector images, and use the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator
I created an image of my old car, with my present cars rims. Its not spot on on but I wanna learn how to draw like an artist on IG by the name of "@LikeHellDesign", I'm also learning HTML Coding in school so I'm kindve all over the place but I tried to pay a lot of attention to detail even though I just stayed up and stared at my screen until my eyes went on fire :fist pump

I wanna add more detail/shadows/lights and oh yeah... the kidney grills on the passenger side lmao

Give me an honest opinion, I won't be offended by anything

Thanks again guys!

I think this a great start! You've got some great detail worked into the car.

Agreed. Details in the headlights, some depth or shadows in the windshield/windows, blacks or darker grays in the wheels in between the narrow spokes, criss-cross pattern of the lower grille, etc.

I like the style!

You've captured the essence of the e46. Excellent job, I sure couldn't do that with vector graphics.

Love it. A little work on the lights and right grill and it would be perfect.

Thank you! I can't wait to finish working on it, I hope to get it printed soon and framed
I want to make a super minimal version to get printed on t-shirts or something who knows, not many ZHP owners by me any how. I've only met 2, one was 17 and started college at UAlbany, his father owns an X5M now but has had the ZHP since 0 miles (Black/Alcantara/6MT) and the other was 53 and owned a E30M3 for over 10 years and his ZHP was his daily, which I hope to own and track should he ever sell! IT HAS 252,000 MILES lol, I would like to run a swap or build the motor. I have an affinity for Black Sapphire Metallic anything as my first ZHP was that color and I lost it.

Thank you! I promise to show you guys the finished product :respect

Thank you! its actually my first attempt ever use Illustrator, I'm pleasantly surprised with the results!

I'm willing to do other cars, your vert looks BOSS!

Thank you! I'm sure I spent well over and hour on them each since theres so many curves and lines there

In due time! My actual car has OEM suspension, still don't know where I should go with it - I just want to be able to fit 8.5's squared of Apex Arc-8's this spring should my pockets allow me lol but its a huge double investment

Wow, nice work! That's really good, especially for a first attempt! I've been using Illustrator since 1987 (no joke) and I doubt it would look significantly better if I did it.

One awesome benefit of starting stuff like this now is YouTube. It's awesome to be able watch somebody step through their technique. I so wish I'd had it when I was just starting out in the late-eighties and early-nineties.

Cheers,
