Hello everyone,
I have been an E46 enthusiast for a couple of years now, I always loved the way they look. So when I was in the market for a new daily driver I took the plunge and haven’t looked back since. My first was a gray 2004 325I which I drove for about a year. I got to learn the basics of preventive maintenance plus the common issues and weak spots of the E46’s. During my research on DIY's I stumbled upon this forum and learned about the “not special 330 ZHP”.
I was hooked. I soon started my search for a ZHP within what I could afford. Found some pretty good ones, but outside my budget. I found a 2005 TiAg that looked good and affordable at an AUDI dealership in FL. I scheduled an appointment to see it and buy it. I live in NC, so as I drove south about half way there I got a call from the dealer saying they had sold it that morning. You could imagine how upset I was. Still drove to the dealership and the car was still there with a piece of paper saying it was reserved. I could literally touch it. I spoke with the manager and explained the situation but I believe it was an inside deal.
So I left empty handed and with more gray hairs than I wanted. A couple of weeks later I found my current ride. Went to GA to get her. She’s a ’05 sedan schwarz 2 with brown interior. It’s a Steptronic (I know, I know) I really wanted a 6 speed, but I got a good deal think. A manual conversion is in the plans for the future though.
Bought her about 2 years ago with 97K. I do all the preventive maintenance and I installed the mods as well. She’s at 119K now and planning to keep her until the wheels fall off.

MODS: Supersprint full exhaust (cat-less headers, x-pipe, resonator and muffler) // Koni FSD with Eibach pro springs kit // black BBS CH-R 18x8 front 18x9 back // Hotchkis sway bar kit // BMW performance strut brace // AFE Stage 1 Pro5R intake kit // Eurocharged tune // BMW Performance Gloss Black Kidney Grilles // GROM audio USB radio interface kit // EvoX-R Bi-xenon + Umnitza Orion V2 headlight retrofit.

Welcome! I like the dark look you've got going. You should consider refreshing your lower mesh grille. I just did it, cost about $8 in paint and tape and I think it makes the car look like new!

How does it sound with the full supersprint exhaust? Any pics of the system?

I like the hotchkis bars. They are quite beefier than stock. It eliminated body roll almost completely. I have on the middle slot in the front and the softer setting in the rear. Installation was straight forward. Adjusting the rear links took me some time to get right though. The only negative thing I've encounter is merely aesthetic.
Because the thickness of the bars, the rear bar comes with aluminum brackets that sit over the stock location. The left bracket sits about 3/4 of an inch lower. It takes away some of the space where the exhaust pipes run, I had to lower the muffler a bit so it wouldn't rub/vibrate against the bracket. Can't say about the stock exhaust since I had the supersprint set up when I installed it.
There is about a 1.5 inch gap between the exhaust tips and the rear diffuser. I'll post some pics later this week.

The supersprint set up sounds the best in my opinion, not as loud as the UUC and slightly better than the eisenmann. headers make quite a difference. The sound is deep and a little raspy. Mellow when cruising (no droning at all). But when you get on it, they system system wakes up. It has that distinctive european sound.

I didn't take pics when I installed the system. I'll take some this week when I do the oil change.

Will see. If I can record some Sound clips as well.

Happy holidays to everyone. I've meaning to reply to some of the suggestions and questions that were mention since my introduction;but work and the holidays made it a little difficult to accomplish.
I'm located in the Ft Bragg/Fayetteville area for the fellow NC members.
Also thank BMWcurves for the suggestion about the lower grill. I was able to paint the grill (I removed the bumper) and it definitely looks way better than the faded white. I used SEM trim black which gave me an OEM color look.
Just wanted to update some more pics of the supersprint setup as well as the hotchkis sway bars. Did an oil change about a week ago and had a chance to take some pics of the installed system.

Looks good :thumbsup

Any videos of how the SS exhaust sounds? Also, how're you liking the handling with the new sway bars? What sizes?

The handling is good. Car feels flat when taking tight turns. My experience is daily driving only though. I haven't tracked the car at all. I have it in the middle setting front and soft in the rear. Definitely better than stock. The bars are considerably thicker. 30mm front and 25mm rear. Haven't had a chance to record any sound clips yet.

Good job on the grille. Mine is already starting to chip off again :-(
