Welcome! Post more info about your Zhp

So far just Revshift "green" polyurethane motor/trans mounts, 5k HID fogs, and black kidney grilles from the PO. CHMSL needs replacing (works intermittently); headlamps need attention as well. Some minor interior trim pieces need attention and the alcantara steering wheel is pretty done. I'd like to replace it with an M3 wheel at some point (as much as I'd like the perforated leather option from later ZHPs, I can't justify $1000+ for that wheel). The hazard light/door lock switch doesn't stay in the trim around the shifter (It's a 6MT which is awesome). All in all just minor things. The M54 runs strong and pulls very nicely.

First up on my attention list is the VANOS (she's at 158k miles) and two more 8.5" Style 68's up front for a square setup. Then I'll address the suspension. PO said he replaced the water pump and thermostat already so I'm gonna have my shop evaluate the condition of the radiator and hoses next time I'm up there.

Welcome.

Welcome!

Check out Coby Wheel for that spent steering wheel, it's a far better cost than a new one. Quality is great and many of us have done this.

Cool, post more pics when you get a chance!

If you do want the perforated leather wheel, you can get a similar one made by a company called DCT Motorsports. Both I and John (johnrando) have it (he recommended it to me, and I personally love mine. It ran me $350 plus shipping which is a bit steep, but I don't regret it one bit. If you want some more info and pics, you can check out my post on it in my project/maintenance thread here: http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?15714-William-s-330Ci-ZHP-Maintenance-and-Project-Thread&p=431923#post431923

And welcome! I hope you'll stick around, this is a great community.

That wheel is absolutely gorgeous. But I didn't see it on the DCT site in their products listing. Is this something I'd need to e-mail them about?

Yeah, their website is a little janky. I just emailed them directly and gave them a description and a couple photos of what I wanted and told them they had been suggested to me by a previous customer. They emailed me back pretty quickly with a photo of the wheel that I have now with pricing. I paid them through PayPal, including a $200 core deposit so I could continue driving without any downtime, and about 3.5 weeks later I had the wheel. I swapped it out for my old ratty wheel and mailed my old wheel to them and received my core deposit back about a week later.

As I note in my build thread, the wheel is slightly thicker in diameter. It felt a little strange at first, but I've gotten used to it and now prefer it to thinner steering wheels. In all respects it feels like a premium product and I love it.
