Hello All,
So I have this steering wheel from my buddy's old SMG M3 - it had 60k on it before it got totaled and he gave me the steering wheel.
Its in pretty good shape and comes with the clock spring, and paddle shifter ready. Reason why I'm selling is because I don't have paddle shifters for it and don't want to go through the hassle of putting together the wheel since mine is pretty fine.
Shipped price $200

It has paddles or not? I don't see them if so.

It does not have paddle shifters. That is stated above.

The clock spring is a needed component for paddles (as you know ) and I was just making a statement/suggestion. Thanks for clarifying though.

Oh, you did. So you don't HAVE them but it's set up for them if you WANT. I get it. :)
Not sure how you purchase the paddle pieces but I know they have a spring, plastic piece, and the paddle. I have two paddles that have been sitting in my garage because I don't drive a step anymore.

Didn't say they were in the best shape. I bought a pair from John (JR) because these were a little beat. The good side is they are free and the side you see while driving looks fine.

Was my grammar incorrect John? I apologize for the confusion lol

DAMNNNN Pip, if no one takes this I might just get these off you and throw them onto my AT Vert.
Would rather sell the whole thing.
Still available.

Wait why aren't you putting this on the AT vert? Made driving so much more fun with paddles on my old step.

I dunno Pip, installation for me is a hassle time and weather. I dont have my own garage like I did down in Florida. Currently cold as fk in Northern NJ.

OK, so it's very easy to do. There is a DIY for the wiring harness, etc. on here. I bought the wiring harness, etc. so it was even easier. Frankly if you have any interest in it I'd hold on to it and do it when the weather is warm. Will only take a couple of hours max., if that long. Actually not even that long, once you have the harness. It wouldn't take more than an hour. Otherwise, GLWS.

This mod is sweet on a step ZHP!! I have my stock SMG shift paddles also. They are in great shape.

I want to buy this buuuuut as I have a manual, it'd be a bit wasted on me. I do have a buddy here in town with an AT ZHP that I'm gonna kick in the butt until he checks out this post. His wheel is in bad shape and he could use another. And this is a good deal.
OP, have you posted this to E46F and Bimmer Forums as well?

Help your buddy out and make sure the paddle intricacies can be bought separately.

How much are you asking for the paddles? And do you guys know where I can get the wiring harness?

The wiring harness is a DIY, but if you run into someone selling their setup, that's when you'll see a built harness for sale. The DIY is on our site.

I am going to have to pass on this deal as I decided to get the 4.0 LCM Technoman is selling off here instead. I will definitely be doing this mod sometime in the future however, just scared about the wiring harness part. (I'm electrically retarded)

It's not hard at all. It's basically just bridging wires up to the clock spring from the AT shifter. You could probably pay minimal dollars for someone to do it for you. I don't do wiring either so I get it, but someone who has minimal skillz could.

This sounds terrifying lol Maybe I could take a road trip to someone who's done it and lives in Cali. They will be splendiferously rewarded for their assistance.

I'll bet Hieu (sillieidiot) could do it if you showed him the DIY. He lives in Fountain Valley.

Does the wheel come with the center horn button and trim pieces? Are you interested in selling the wheel without the tip adapter? I've got a manual that I need a new wheel for. Thanks
