WTB: BMW Performance Strut Bar AND Performance Air Intake

Hey guys I'm trying to get a hold of both the Performance Air Filter AND the Strut Bar. I saw the BMW Performance Air Intake on VACMotorsports here (https://store.vacmotorsports.com/bmw-performance---e46-330-air-intake-p2586.aspx) for $849.95 but that's way too much lol

So any help finding these would be greatly appreciated!

the intakes are hard to come by, don't see them come up often.

Yup, good luck in your search. They're hard to come by at a good price, but they look so good. I snatched up a used intake from a member here for ~$400, but I haven't seen any of the strut bars below $600 in over a year.

I bought an intake when they were unloading them for about $250. It looks nice, and sounds nice, but my butt dyno doesn't notice much of a difference.

If you find one, the replacement filter is a Wix 46301, or NAPA 6301, same thing as Wix makes the NAPA filters., late ninety's Pontiac Grand Am, lol. It fits perfectly, similar pleat count. The BMW filter is $55, the Wix is under $10. I bought several, which ought to last a while.

I haven't heard the Gruppe M in person, but I'd wager it sounds better than the BMW Performance one. Mine is *maybe* a little bit throatier than the stock box, but not very noticeable.

Well when I bought my car it came with the afe intake , I had to immediately switch them out for the gruppe m . U can tell the difference big time .

I too had an aFe CAI in my ZHP at one time before getting my Gruppe M CAI. Yes I agree the difference between the two are night and day. After having the Gruppe M and running with it, I don't think you will be happy if you change it out for anything else. That's my opinion :)

I have to agree lol but I want my engine bay to look complete . I have to go through security ever day at work and they check my car inside the cabin and the engine bay everyday . They always look at it like man what's that thing? (which is the strut bar n the gruppe m ) I smile cause they notice it . So somebody notices the bling everyday .

Just because I have my Gruppe M CAI installed, I never consider my engine bay not looking complete. I used to have the BMWP strut bar in my ZHP which I recently took out and placed Dusty's DINAN strut bar in it's place. I still have my BMWP strut bar which is in my living room now ;) Anyway... I consider the engine bay looking complete with unique performance parts installed. My ///M still has the BMWP strut bar installed and I also have the Gruppe M CAI installed on my ///M... I love the look of the Gruppe M CAI but then that's me :)

Lucky , we have to get check everyday at ExxonMobil . And when we leave we have a random bell that goes off . But it still looks good , but looking at pics and not having makes me want it more lol

They flex so much and I have seen the CF separate from the metal on the ends. I had 4 friends get these and intakes when they were dumping them for cheap at the dealer and 2 had the issue. Yes they look awesome but they are no where near a $1500 piece

I think a mint strut bar is worth every bit of 700 which I think is a super fair price. Anything above that is asinine. As far as the intake: I'd say 350-400 for a mint one.
