So here are some pics today, unfortunately I didn't get very good before pics and I'm sure most or all of you have seen really bad lens covers before anyways. I will say that the difference in lighting is tremendous. I may still have to fix the bowls, but wow what a difference already!
Replaced the hood Roundel, the oem headlight covers with Khoalty lens covers, and temp painted the grills black just to get an idea of what it will look like when my ecs tuning ones come in. Also waiting for lower bumper grill and all the other maintenance stuff to arrive. Any day now.

Would love to but not sure it will work out this year. It will be under consideration though.

Plenty of time to make it work. ;-)

Well the good news is the Khoalty lens covers look great.
The bad news is when I washed my engine bay today, shortly thereafter they both developed some condensation inside. So now I have to decide if I should replace the lens seals or just go ahead and get the proper OEM BMW lens covers after spending the $80 for the Khoalty ones.

I ordered OE BMW seals and that fixed the issue.

Upon disassembly and reassembly, it appears that the bottom tabs don't fully engage to retain the clips on the lens cover so I'm not totally convinced that new seals will fix that. The lens cover is fully seated all the way around and the top tabs and clips engage fine, just not the bottoms. Was this the case with yours?

I believe that was also the case.

Well it's a start anyways. I will post here at a later date once the above has been done.

Thanks Vas.

RC, my car got new Khoalty lenses and OEM seals at the same time. Some days later, there was a big storm and I noticed condensation on both sides. I was a little disappointed. But that never happened again, and the car has been thru automatic car washes and storms.

So, it was a one time deal for me. Hope that's your case too.

Look forward to the report. I found $85 in an old jacket today and took it as a sign to buy khoalty lenses. This thread stopped me lol

Interesting you got it even with new gaskets. Maybe I don't need to replace my gaskets.

Since new seals are the cheaper option and they are 12 yrs old anyway, I will do that soon and hope for the best. Worst case I have to spend another $200 for ZKW lens covers but will have new seals as well.

Sorry to hear this. I ordered mine from eBay (barely missed the Khoalty deal) and don't have this issue, mine were $120 shipped.

I will get it sorted out one way or another.

Thanks for all the input.

New plate arrived and mounted, and yes I missed the side clips on first install, fixed after pics taken. Also installed the new BMW Performance grills. I have the new lower grill but haven't installed it yet.
Sold the silver cube to mafia member and ordered the new black cube trim but won't arrive from Germany for another 3 weeks or so.
All cooling system overhaul and power steering rebuild kit is here, just need to make the time to get it all installed. Possibly tomorrow?

Installed my new LCM with euro fog switch, works fine up front, just have to code for the bulb ignition. Hopefully this weekend, and also correct speedo.

Unfortunately we were not able to code for the rear fog light to illuminate. Anyone that can advise on this it would be appreciated!!

We did however accomplish the main goal and that was to clay, polish and was Ruby up real nice like. Thanks to Eric for all his hard work! Not perfect, but the results were definitely better than where we started. And the weather was amazing, breezy and about 70 degrees F.
