View Full Version : What are these holes/ports for? Intake Manifold

Hey guys, do any of you know what these holes/ports are for on the intake manifold? Is there suppose to be oil flowing through them? Thanks.

They are where air from the idle control valve goes into the cylinder, so there should absolutely be no oil in them. I got this answer from e46fanatics

"The holes are where the air from the idle control valve comes from and goes into the intake manifold. They take a different route than the majority of the air so that it is directed to only one of the intake valves, which creates swirling in the chamber for good idling."
