I have briefly spoken with the second owner whom has owned the car for approx ten years. The current owner purchased the vehicle from a high end used car dealer in Cali when he resided there. Owner has all the service records during his ownership. The windshield and instrument cluster have been replaced. The cluster is not a ZHP cluster. A regular E46 cluster is installed which would lead one to believe the factory cluster was replaced by a BMW Center during the first ownership. For anyone interested this ZHP PM me as I ran a CarFax on it and will gladly forward.

Edit: The current owner mentioned that his indy mechanic has stated the car needs a new clutch housing. Clutch?

If it was MB (Mystic Blue) over NB (Natural Brown) it would already be in my driveway. OB (Orient Blue) does very little for me aesthetically. Truthfully, it is no diffident then owning a black vehicle. Been there, done that twice. There will not be a third time...

To each their own. I have had two Orient Blue E46s and loved both of them. I like that at night it looks black, but in the day it looks blue and then at certain points it'll look purple.

:thumbup Which is almost very similar to Carbon Black on an E46 M3.

I am fairly OCD, to much detailing for me. It was not an issue in my mid 20s and 30s, yet I have no desire to deal with it at my current age.

Hi Sean,

Thanks for your note. Sorry my car won’t work for you, but I’m grateful that you’re able to point someone else my way. Thanks!

Yes it’s still for sale. Removed from Craigslist because I don't want the listing to grow stale.

Please pass on my contact info.

Interesting, I assume that is the seller's response?

So was the clutch issue the reason it didn't work out? With all due respect to the owner it seems like an important item to omit from the ad.

One of multiple reasons.
